Chapter 3 -  A 1,000,000 Power Level in 150 Days

"Ah… I went down together with my brother Raditz. Piccolo pierced both our hearts with the Special Beam Cannon," Goku replied with a smile, a trace of nostalgia in his eyes as he recalled the past.

"Raditz… hmm… Raditz…" King Kai immediately searched through his records.

After reviewing the data, he was completely speechless.

Raditz. Power level: around 1,500.

You're telling me you died together with someone whose power level was only 1,500?

Are you joking?

Your base power level is only 500—but you just used Kaio-ken x10. That puts you at 5,000.

And you're saying you perished alongside your brother Raditz?

Wait a second…

Raditz?

"Raditz? Isn't he a Saiyan?" King Kai suddenly snapped back to attention.

"Yep." Goku nodded.

"And you're saying… he's your brother?" King Kai pressed.

"My real, biological older brother," Goku confirmed without hesitation.

"So… you're a Saiyan too?" King Kai's pupils shrank.

"That's right. A Saiyan raised on Earth." Goku smiled. "From what I heard, my parents sent me to Earth a long time ago… probably because my power level was too low."

King Kai fell silent.

Are you even their real kid?

"None of that matters," King Kai said at last. "What matters is this—your power level just reached at least 5,000. How did you die to a brother whose power level was only 1,500?"

"Well… it's a long story." Goku scratched his cheek. "I'll tell you slowly some other time."

Then something occurred to him.

"Oh right, King Kai! I used to have a tail, but for some reason it stopped growing back. Can you help me regrow it?"

As he spoke, Goku shamelessly pulled down his pants and showed King Kai his bare backside.

King Kai: "..."

This brat has zero respect. He's actually pointing his butt at me.

"Idiot! How would I know something like that?!" King Kai roared furiously.

"Alright, we'll talk about it later." Goku pulled his pants back up and stretched, his expression turning serious. "Time to keep training!"

King Kai swallowed hard.

The more he observed this kid, the more unbelievable he seemed.

Days passed.

Two spherical space pods sped toward Earth.

On King Kai's planet—

Goku floated in midair, thick blocks of lead strapped to his wrists and ankles.

He punched and kicked at empty space, each strike slicing through the air.

By now, King Kai had grown numb to it all.

Is his growth even reasonable anymore?

In just 158 days, how many times has his power multiplied?

From an initial 500… to over 1,000,000.

How many times is that?!

Please… just act human for once!

I'm seriously starting to suspect you came here just to show off.

"Alright, King Kai. I think that's about enough," Goku said with a relaxed smile as he stopped training and looked down.

King Kai waved his hand, and the lead weights vanished.

Goku slowly descended to the ground.

"Oh, and King Kai, could you change my clothes too?" Goku grinned. "Time to let my body relax a bit. I don't need the gravity gear for now."

"Is there anything you don't know?" King Kai shot him an annoyed glare. The two black antennae on his head twitched, and an invisible divine force enveloped Goku.

Snap!

Goku's clothes were instantly refreshed.

"By the way… what was your name again?" King Kai suddenly asked.

"I'm Son Goku! King Kai, did you lose your memory or something?" Goku scratched his head, staring at him oddly.

"Planet Vegeta should've been renamed Planet Goku," King Kai muttered, wiping sweat from his brow.

Goku: "..."

"That Saiyan prince named Vegeta… what a tragedy," King Kai sighed softly, offering ten seconds of silent mourning.

The most talented Saiyan isn't Vegeta.

It's this man named Son Goku.

He's not even human!

In just 158 days, he raised his power level from 500 to over 1,000,000!

What's Vegeta's power level?

At best, 18,000.

Eighteen thousand versus one million…

Even King Kai felt this was straight-up bullying.

If you keep this up, Vegeta's going to cry.

Just as King Kai was imagining the upcoming one-sided beatdown—

Goku suddenly placed a hand on King Kai's back.

"What are you doing?" King Kai blinked.

"I'm contacting Grandpa Roshi on Earth so they can revive me," Goku said with a smile.

King Kai: "..."

"How do you know you can contact your friends on Earth through my back?" King Kai asked suspiciously.

Goku just laughed.

"Did Lord Supreme Kai tell you?" King Kai pressed.

Goku scratched his head and gave an awkward grin.

"Fine, fine. Hurry up and call them," King Kai urged.

"Grandpa! Grandpa Roshi! It's me, Goku!" Goku called out.

At that very moment, Master Roshi was reading a newspaper in the bathroom. Hearing Goku's voice, he instinctively looked around in panic.

"Goku? Where are you?" Roshi asked excitedly.

"Grandpa, I'm in the Other World. I'm talking to you telepathically," Goku explained.

"Another world…" Roshi wiped sweat from his forehead.

Is this a ghost?

Oh, right…

My old student Grandpa Gohan came back once through my sister Fortuneteller Baba.

"Grandpa, have you gathered all the Dragon Balls?" Goku asked.

"Yes, we've collected them. Everyone split up to find them so we could bring you back," Roshi replied.

"Thanks… Please revive me right away. Vegeta and Nappa will arrive on Earth tomorrow," Goku said with a smile.

"Vegeta and Nappa?" Roshi froze.

"The names of those two Saiyans," Goku clarified.

"What?! They're coming tomorrow? That's more than a month earlier than I expected!" Roshi exclaimed in shock.

"Then I'm counting on you, Grandpa!" Goku laughed. "To be honest… I kinda missed you."

"Yeah… after all, you've been dead for almost a year…" Roshi sighed.

The connection ended.

Roshi hurriedly pulled up his pants and rushed out of the bathroom.

"Everyone, get ready! Bring out the Dragon Balls—now!" he shouted excitedly.

"Wait… this is bad!" King Kai suddenly realized something, his face changing repeatedly. "Tomorrow? The Saiyans arrive on Earth tomorrow? This is terrible!"

"Did you forget to factor in the time I spent traveling along Snake Way, King Kai?" Goku said with a knowing smile.
