Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: Flower Delivery

In Igwinte early in the morning, on the apartment building on Nanyang Flower Road, Dorothy and Grego were having breakfast together in the living room. This was a rare gathering moment for them these past few days.

While having breakfast, Dorothy occasionally yawned. Seeing this, Grego asked with some concern.

"Dorothy, you've looked very tired and listless these past few days, and you've been coming back later than before in the evenings. Is the pressure from studying very heavy?"

"Ugh... pretty much. If I want good grades, I have to study harder, phew... it's also very draining..." Dorothy said while eating a piece of bread. Seeing Dorothy's appearance, Grego couldn't help but encourage her.

"It seems studying is quite difficult. You've worked hard, Dorothy. Pay attention to balancing work and rest, and don't just focus entirely on studying. Sometimes you can relax appropriately."

"Mmm... it's okay, Grego. You know my goal is to get into university. As a girl, if I don't put in more hard work and effort, how can I enter the university gates? After all, I can't let down your expectations, Grego." As she spoke, Dorothy finished her bread and quickly drank a cup of milk.

"Alright, I'm done eating, I'm leaving first. Bye~"

Saying this, Dorothy picked up her satchel, opened the door, and walked out. Seeing this, Grego, who was still sitting on the sofa, couldn't help but smile with relief.

'Heh heh... Dorothy is also slowly growing up and becoming sensible. I hope she can really get into university in the future.' Grego thought with such hope in his heart. As a parent, seeing his child so diligent and eager to learn naturally made him very happy.

For this, Dorothy was very glad that Saint Amanda School was located in the western suburbs of the City. If it were somewhere Grego could easily go to within the City, it would be bad if he occasionally went a few times and discovered her reputation as the 'King of Skipping Classes'.

Having also finished his breakfast, Grego put on his coat as usual and left the house. After going downstairs, he hurried towards the City without stopping. About forty minutes later, Grego arrived in front of the Cypress Fir Building.

Grego entered the building. After receiving the key from Miss Ada at the front desk, he skillfully entered the An Yin Bureau through a hidden entrance and then warmly greeted his colleagues inside.

"Hey, good morning, Brandon. You look like you didn't sleep well last night."

Coming to the desk in the corner of the hall, Grego greeted Brandon, who seemed a bit dazed. Brandon, sitting behind the desk, also responded with a forced smile.

"Mmm... pretty much, Mr. Mays House. My rest hasn't been very good these past few days."

Looking at Brandon's appearance, Grego's eyes darted around. After glancing around, he leaned forward slightly, lowered his voice, and whispered.

"Listen, Brandon, don't take what I'm about to say here the wrong way. I've heard some unpleasant rumors about you when I was on night patrol before... Mmm, they say your private life is sometimes a bit messy and not very proper... Listen to me, if you can't control yourself, find a girlfriend and get married soon to settle down. Always messing around is not only bad for your health but also affects your work, and if you catch a few illnesses, it's even more not worth it."

Grego spoke to Brandon in a tone of admonition. Brandon was slightly taken aback, then said with a forced smile.

"Ahaha... Thank you very much for your concern, Mr. Mays House, Captain. I will consider Captain's words."

"Ha, of course I care, we're colleagues after all. Alright~ Think about what I just said. I'm leaving now." After speaking, Grego left Brandon's desk and went to greet others, while Brandon remained seated, watching Grego's departing back with gloomy eyes.

'Hmph... you should worry more about yourself...'

Brandon thought gloomily to himself. He was currently waiting for the signal, the signal that had been agreed upon earlier. The moment the signal arrived, he would carry out his final mission in the An Yin Bureau, returning to the society with rich spoils to obtain the grace of glory.

'Hurry up... I can't wait any longer... I don't want to stay in this boring place for another moment, I don't want to do this dull job for another second. If it weren't for my boring and dull father, I shouldn't be in this place at all. The society is where I should be, only the society can satisfy my desires...'

Scanning his colleagues with gloomy eyes, Brandon thought silently. His heart had already begun to stir at this moment, and he eagerly anticipated the arrival of the flower signal.

While yearning, Brandon looked at his watch. It showed that the current time was ten o'clock in the morning.

'Soon, soon, just half an hour left, and the signal should arrive, the signal that can lure the Hunters away...'

Suppressing the excitement in his heart, Brandon thought silently. Just then, an unexpected voice came.

"Grego! There's an urgent matter, please come to the Director's office quickly!"

Amidst the crowd, Eilina came to Grego, who was chatting and slacking off with colleagues, and said with a slight urgency. After hearing Eilina's words, Grego was startled, then spoke.

"I understand."

As he spoke, Grego and Eilina quickly walked towards the corridor together, while Brandon, not far away, couldn't help but be slightly taken aback after seeing this scene.

'What's going on? Shouldn't the flowers arrive in another half hour? Could it be some other emergency situation?'

Brandon thought in confusion. He directly stopped a colleague who had just walked past him from upstairs and asked.

"Tony, it seems there's going to be another operation. Do you know what's going on?"

"Ah, about that... It seems like last time, Miss Ada received flowers again. I just saw it upstairs, the same situation as last time. There might be another big case." The man named Tony replied to Brandon. Listening to Tony's words, Brandon's brows furrowed slightly, and doubt appeared on his face.

'It really is flowers... This, how did the operation move up?'

...

Igwinte Secret Agency Branch, Director's Office.

Grego, Eilina, and Turner were standing in the office at this moment. A bouquet of flowers was placed on the Director's desk. This scene felt familiar, just like the morning the Burton case occurred, except that Director James was not present.

"More flowers... Don't those guys have any new ideas? Are they asking us to clean up their mess again this time? Hmph..."

Looking at the scene before him, Turner spread his hands and complained directly, while Grego, looking at the message in the bouquet that was visibly thick, slowly said.

"This time it might not be..."

As he spoke, Grego pulled out the message and found that it wasn't a card, but paper thickly folded into the size of a card.

Grego and Turner exchanged glances, then slowly unfolded the folded paper in their hands. He then found that the more it unfolded, the larger it became. After it was fully unfolded, they discovered that it was actually a map!

After the three of them scanned the map, their expressions couldn't help but become extremely serious. After looking at the map in his hand for a few moments, Grego quickly said to Eilina.

"Eilina, quickly send a message to the Director, requesting immediate action to the Sunken Wharf. There's no time to lose, hurry!"

"Yes!"
