Chapter 1 - chapter 1

In a small town near Agartala, lived a husband and wife — Arjun and Meera.

Arjun worked in a bank. Every morning he wore his neatly ironed shirt, carried his lunch box, and left home quietly. People respected him. They called him "Bank Sir." But inside, Arjun was tired. His heart was not in numbers and files. His heart loved photography.

Meera knew this.

At night, after putting their little daughter to sleep, Arjun would scroll through photos on his old camera. Sometimes he would say softly,

"Maybe in another life, I would become a photographer."

Meera would look at him and smile.

"Why another life? Why not this one?"

But life was not easy. New branch posting, responsibilities, family expectations — everything was heavy. Arjun was afraid.

"What if I fail?" he asked once.

Meera held his hand.

"If you fail, we will fail together. If you succeed, we will succeed together."

Those words changed something inside him.

Slowly, Arjun started taking small photography assignments on Sundays — weddings, birthday parties, small events. It was not much money, but it was happiness.

There were days when he was tired from bank work. There were days when Meera also felt exhausted managing home and their child. They argued sometimes. They misunderstood each other sometimes.

But one thing never changed — respect.

Meera never laughed at his dream.

Arjun never ignored her support.

One evening, Arjun's photo won a local competition in Tripura. It was just a small certificate. But when he came home and showed it to Meera, her eyes filled with tears.

"I told you," she whispered. "This life is enough."

Years later, Arjun still worked in the bank — but not with sadness anymore. And slowly, photography became more than a hobby.

Their life was not perfect.

But it was full of partnership.

Because love is not only romance.

It is standing beside each other when the world feels heavy.

And sometimes, the smallest sky above a small town is big enough to hold two dreams together. 🌸
