Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: There's a elden ring, But the Members Are All Me

After reaching a cooperation agreement with Melina, Xia Yu finally had time to scan his surroundings; he had been busy talking to Melina just now and hadn't had the chance to take a good look around yet.

"Speaking of which, this must be a site of grace."

Xia Yu sat cross-legged on the ground, staring at a small cluster of golden light in front of him. This small cluster of golden light seemed like a tiny soul, flickering and swaying without a fixed shape.

However, the more Xia Yu looked at it, the more familiar it seemed, as if he had seen it somewhere before.

"Right, Humanity! Isn't this just Humanity from dark souls? Miyazaki really knows how to save effort."

Thinking of this, Xia Yu felt secretly lucky. Fortunately, he had transmigrated into the world of elden ring. If he had transmigrated into the world of dark souls, he would probably be dead from despair.

That was a desperate apocalypse. Even linking the fire couldn't stop the end of the world; linking the fire only allowed the world to linger on its last breath.

Although the world of elden ring wasn't very friendly either, at least it wasn't a hopeless apocalypse.

Tsk tsk, since I could transmigrate into the world of elden ring, maybe some other unlucky fellow transmigrated into the world of dark souls. Thinking about it that way, my transmigration doesn't seem too bad.

Just as Xia Yu was lost in his fantasies, a soft sound suddenly rang in his ear.

[Xia Yu has joined the Chat Group!]

As the sound rang out, a Chat Group interface appeared in his vision. Although it wasn't the same as a certain Penguin's chat interface, it wasn't much different; one could tell at a glance that it was a Chat Group.

"This is?"

Before Xia Yu could react from his surprise, the Chat Group made another soft sound.

[Xia Yu has joined the Chat Group!]

[Xia Yu has joined the Chat Group!]

[Xia Yu has joined the Chat Group!]

[Xia Yu has joined the Chat Group!]

"..."

"This trope isn't new anymore."

Xia Yu clicked his tongue while looking at the long row of "[Xia Yu has joined the Chat Group!]" messages. He could probably guess what would happen next.

After all, he had read works by a certain proctologist, and he had read many Chat Group novels. Combining two tropes into one—it was still just an old trope.

[Xia Yu]: So, is the situation exactly what I think it is?

[Xia Yu]: It should be. If it really is what I think it is, then it should be that.

[Xia Yu]: Good grief. If I weren't thinking the same thing, I really wouldn't be able to tell what you bunch of riddlers are talking about.

[Xia Yu]: After all, the situation is what it is. No need to say what needs to be done next, right?

[Xia Yu]: Those who know, know.

After communicating with the people in the group, Xia Yu realized that the people in the Chat Group might really all be himself. After all, only one's own self would "know what those who know, know."

Since everything was understood, he no longer hesitated. He clicked into the Chat Group's settings interface, found the rename function, and changed his name directly.

[elden ring]: Those who know, know.

[dark souls i]: Those who know, know.

[dark souls iii]: Those who know, know.

[resident evil]: Those who know, know.

[marvel]: Those who know, know.

[elden ring]: As expected, it really is all of us.

[marvel]: After all, the Great Duke virus is so widespread that many people have been infected. I just didn't expect to be one of them one day.

[elden ring]: I wonder if this Chat Group can share power. I hope it's not too weak.

[marvel]: Hard to say. After all, our golden finger isn't the original mysterious hive space. By the way, why are only the two of us talking? The other three, come out and show yourselves.

[resident evil]:...I thought my transmigration was the most miserable one, but I didn't expect someone to be even worse off than me. You two, come out and say something.

[dark souls i]: F*ck... [dark souls iii]: F*ck... Dark Souls III World.

Ashen Xia Yu looked up at the sky speechlessly. His current mood was like the gray sky, covered in a layer of haze.

That's right, he was that unlucky fellow who transmigrated into dark souls.

And it was the last installment of the dark souls series, the Dark Souls III World on the brink of apocalypse. Even the other guy in the Dark Souls World wasn't as miserable as him.

The dark souls i World could at least last for another few thousand years, but his Dark Souls III World was truly about to be finished.

Moreover, he didn't want to become kindling. If possible, he wanted to seize the power of the first flame and then leave this pathetic world through it.

[dark souls i] @[dark souls iii]: Brother, come out and say something. We're in the same world, after all. Tell me your troubles so I can have a good laugh.

dark souls i World.

Undead Xia Yu looked at the chat interface with a grin. He was well aware of the trope where a soul splits into thousands, transmigrates into different worlds, and then connects with each other.

He thought he was the most miserable person, having transmigrated into the dark souls i World, but he didn't expect another unlucky fellow to transmigrate into the Dark Souls III World. Knowing someone was suffering with him and was even worse off instantly made him feel much better.

Thinking of this, Undead Xia Yu sent another message.

[dark souls i]: It's fine, go ahead. I'll try to keep my laughter down.

[dark souls iii]: I have a Fire Keeper waifu, do you?

[dark souls i]:... [dark souls i]: F*ck!

Ashen Xia Yu looked at the tilted Undead Xia Yu and curled his lips. You little punk, trying to compete with me? We're the same person; tilting myself is as easy as can be.

[resident evil]: Alright, let's stop the fooling around. Now that we have this Chat Group, the most important thing is how to develop it.

[resident evil]: I just studied this Chat Group a bit. I found that it indeed cannot share our powers, perhaps because we aren't meeting face-to-face.

[elden ring]: Although I had guessed as much, hearing it for sure is still inevitably disappointing.

Tarnished Xia Yu typed these words with a bit of disappointment. If he could share the powers of every version of himself, the process of becoming the Elden Lord would be much easier.

[resident evil]: However, while we can't share power directly, this Chat Group can send anything via Red Envelopes, including but not limited to any matter, physical constitution, power, mental strength, memories, and so on. Of course, after sending them, the sender will lose what they sent. This at least conforms to the law of conservation of energy.

[resident evil]: After all, sharing power and such—where that extra energy would come from is unclear. It's not scientific at all.

The Xia Yus:...We've all split and transmigrated; that's even less scientific, okay? And this Chat Group is clearly not scientific either.

But the other Xia Yus didn't refute Resident Evil Xia Yu's words. After all, judging from his speech, he seemed like a big shot, and anyone who could survive in resident evil definitely wouldn't be a newbie.

[resident evil]: Of course, besides that, I also discovered another function of the Chat Group: the invitation and application function.

[resident evil]: This function seems to allow us to go to each other's worlds, though I suspect we still won't be able to share power even after meeting.

[resident evil]: You can see this function after clicking on other people's avatars.

Hearing this, Tarnished Xia Yu clicked on Resident Evil Xia Yu's avatar. Sure enough, he saw two buttons: "Apply" and "Invite."

Raising an eyebrow, Xia Yu tried clicking the invite button.

[You have invited Xia Yu]

[Xia Yu has rejected your invitation]

Xia Yu:...Question: the big shot is ignoring me, what should I do? Waiting online, it's urgent!
