Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: I Picked This Up, So It's Mine

The explosion didn't happen. Although it looked like it was about to blow, the tesseract flickered for a moment before gradually dimming, along with the pale blue pillar of light shooting into the sky.

The space wormhole at the top of the light pillar began to twist and shrink after losing its energy supply. The collapsed space healed rapidly. The Chitauri had only just released their vanguard when the wormhole vanished.

It was a case of it being over before it even began.

The Chitauri vanguard still rampaging through New York lost their connection signal. Like robots losing power, they stiffened and fell from the sky.

Their weapons and aircraft fell with them. In a hidden corner where no one noticed, a sneaky figure was quietly stealing this alien technology.

"A pity I don't have an Invisibility Cloak, otherwise I could be a bit more blatant about it."

Marvel Xia Yu quietly sent the alien tech he'd swiped through a Red Envelope. He could only take advantage of the current moment to steal some; once those politicians reacted, it wouldn't be as convenient.

This alien tech could be studied by the resident evil Xia Yu. Although that Xia Yu's specialty was biology and virology, out of the five Xia Yus, he was the only one with the right conditions.

On the other side, at the top of Stark Tower.

The shut-down device went completely dark, and the tesseract was taken out of the machine by Ashen Xia Yu. The azure tesseract emitted a faint blue glow. Now, both infinity stones were in Xia Yu's hands.

Of course, Stark didn't know about the infinity stones yet. Seeing that the sudden alien invasion was over, he looked at the tesseract held by Ashen Xia Yu with some hesitation.

"Cough, this, uh... Mr. Knight, that blue cube in your hand belongs to us. Now that the portal is closed, you can return it to us."

"On what grounds?"

Ashen Xia Yu tucked the tesseract behind his back and spoke in an arrogant tone.

"I snatch... I mean, I found this through my own efforts, so it's mine."

Seeing that the other party's goal was indeed the tesseract, Stark felt a headache coming on. In all fairness, the other party had helped them resolve the space wormhole. Logically, he had no right to demand it back, but he couldn't comfortably leave the tesseract in the hands of someone of unknown origin. Moreover, both knights in front of him were tightly armored, making it impossible to discern their identities.

"Brave warrior, the space stone is dangerous. Please hand it to me. I will take it back to my realm and have Father Odin seal it."

Hearing Thor, the God of Thunder's words, Ashen Xia Yu rolled his eyes inside his helmet. Your Asgard won't even exist in a few years.

"No, the tesseract is Earth's property and must be handed over to us Earthlings!"

An abrupt female voice suddenly came from the side. Natasha arrived at the top of the building with Clint, who had already been freed from mind control.

After a brief scan of the scene, Natasha had a general idea of what was happening.

The matter was over, and now they seemed to be fighting for ownership of the tesseract. The tesseract had to be handed over to the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division!

Their S.H.I.E.L.D. was the first line of defense for humanity.

"...By the way, what are you guys arguing about? I have no intention of handing this thing over."

Ashen Xia Yu tossed the tesseract up and down speechlessly. He felt ignored and underestimated.

"Let's go."

Undead Xia Yu didn't want to waste words arguing. After patting Ashen Xia Yu, his figure vanished instantly.

"Disappeared? Or invisible?"

Stark looked at the spot where Undead Xia Yu had just been standing in shock. He hurried Jarvis to turn on the thermal scanner, but under the scanner, nothing was detected. That knight had truly vanished into thin air before their eyes!

"Wait, then you..."

In his surprise, Stark hurried to look at the other knight. Fortunately, Ashen Xia Yu hadn't vanished immediately. However, under the thermal scanner, Ashen Xia Yu's temperature was incredibly high, almost like a humanoid concentrated flame.

"Why are you looking at me? No matter how you look, I'm not staying."

Ashen Xia Yu's figure also began to turn ethereal. However, he didn't disappear directly like Undead Xia Yu; he still wanted to be a bit of a prankster.

"You guys better be careful. I sense a nuclear missile being launched toward this place." After saying that, Ashen Xia Yu's figure completely vanished.

"What? A nuke!" The moment he heard this, Stark's scalp went numb. As a former arms dealer, he knew the power of a nuclear bomb.

"Hey, Fury, is there really a nuke being launched this way?"

"No..." Nick Fury, still on the Helicarrier, gave Stark some reassurance, but his next words made Stark's heart tighten again.

"But if things had dragged on for a few more minutes, a nuke really would have been launched. If I hadn't been stalling those politicians, they might have launched it the moment the portal opened."

As expected of American politicians, regarding human life as grass was practically etched into their bones.

But Stark quickly reacted: "So, that knight with the tesseract can prophesy? Or does he know everything about us?"

"Whichever it is, it's not a good thing."

Learning everything that had happened on the scene, Nick Fury's already dark face darkened even further. Luckily it was still daytime, otherwise, he would have turned invisible.

The appearance of those two medieval knights was completely beyond his expectations, not to mention the tesseract being taken away by them.

Both were wearing knight sets. Could they be a new faction hidden in the darkness? He needed to investigate.

That new faction Nick Fury was speculating about was currently chatting away enthusiastically.

[dark souls iii]: Hey, I didn't expect I could actually suppress Loki. No matter how much of a pushover Loki is, he's still a god.

[dark souls i]: Think of that line from the green giant: "Puny god."

[dark souls i]: Ah... I just realized the bosses I need to kill later are basically all gods. In the end, I'll have to face Lord of Cinder Gwyn directly.

[dark souls iii]: I'm the same. I'll have to face the Soul of Cinder later, which is a collection of all the past Lords of Cinder. Just thinking about it is despairing.

[elden ring]: Isn't the final boss being a god standard procedure? Honestly, if you haven't slain a god, you can't really call yourself the Fourth Calamity.

[marvel]:... [resident evil] @[dark souls i] [dark souls iii]: How is it? Can the infinity stones be used in your worlds?

[dark souls i]: Doesn't seem like it. In my world, the mind scepter is just a relatively hard stick; it's completely lost its effect.

[dark souls iii]: +1

[dark souls iii]: To me, the tesseract isn't even as good as a Prism Stone. At least a Prism Stone can be used as a landmark.

[resident evil]: As I thought. The Soul World isn't an ordinary world. The essence of your worlds isn't that of a normal universe at all.

[resident evil]: It's normal for infinity stones to lose their effect in other worlds. It would actually be suspicious if they could be used in your worlds. Send them to me to try. Although my world isn't connected to the marvel world, the basic laws of physics are the same.
