Chapter 361 - The Test

The first pickup went smooth. Marcus drove to Pembroke Pines, stayed in the parking lot, and was back in ninety minutes with five kilos wrapped in plastic behind the seat. Nina counted the product, weighed it, logged it. Oscar watched the street. Darius watched everything. The operation moved. Small. Quiet.

The second pickup went smooth too. And the third. By the end of the first week, they'd moved five kilos through the body shop and out to a network of six street-level dealers Oscar had identified from his years inside Rodriguez's world. Small dealers. The kind who sold on corners and didn't have the volume to attract attention. Darius paid them better than Rodriguez's people paid them, and better pay was the only language that mattered at that level.

By the end of the second week, Darius had a problem.

Oscar brought it to him on a Tuesday morning. He walked into the body shop through the back door and stood in the bay and waited for Darius to look up from Nina's spreadsheets.
