Lucien sat in the parlor, Elian sitting beside him on the velvet sofa.
The fireplace crackled as light rain fell outside.
They had decided to come here to discuss their matters secretly as they could not trust anywhere else in the manor.
The expected knock came at the door and Lucien nodded at Elian before walking over to open the door.
"You decided to be a man?" Lucien asked, giving Soren a hard look.
"Good morning, your grace," he greeted and walked in.
Rowan followed, smirking at his cousin without saying a word.
Finn stood outside, unsure if the duke wanted him inside with them.
"Are you coming or not?" Lucien asked patiently.
"He's coming," Rowan came and gently pulled Finn inside, "Come on, never stay behind." He murmured to Finn.
Finn smiled, his confidence going up a bit.
Lucien shut the door and locked it.
"So," he walked back to the sofa but didn't sit.
"Why did you choose to return?" Lucien questioned, gesturing for Rowan and Finn to sit on the opposite sofa.
