Chapter 5 - Borrowed Silence, Returned

Chapter 5:Borrowed Silence, Returned

Heart

Six months later.

The college farewell day arrived.

Meera stood near the stage, holding her final speech as cultural head. Her voice was confident—but her heart felt incomplete.

After the ceremony, soft piano music echoed through the hall.

She froze.

She knew that melody.

Kabir was on stage.

"I wrote this," he said into the microphone, "for someone who taught me that silence can be shared."

Her eyes filled with tears.

"I was afraid to say it before. But I'm not anymore."

He stepped down from the stage and walked toward her.

"I love you, Meera. Not almost. Not maybe. Just… love."

The crowd cheered softly, but the world felt quiet around them.

She smiled through tears.

"You took so long."

He smiled back. "I was composing the right words."

She hugged him, this time without hesitation.

Some love stories begin with loud sparks.

Theirs began with silence.

And in the end, it wasn't the noise of the world that brought them together—

It was the quiet space they built for each other.

And this time, neither of them was letting go.
