Chapter 1 - The Night Everything Turned Red

It was raining the kind of rain that washed secrets off the streets.

Aarohi stood near the old bridge, her red dupatta soaked, clinging to her hands. The city lights reflected on the wet road, glowing like spilled blood . She checked her phone again.

11:45 PM

He was late.

She told herself she didn't care. This was never supposed to matter. It was just a meeting. Just answers.

But her heart knew better.

Footsteps echoed behind her.

She turned - and froze.

Kabir.

Black shirt. Sharp jaw. Eyes darker than the night. The same eyes that once promised forever and ther disappeared without a word.

"You shouldn't have come here ", he said quietly.

Aarohi laughed bitterly. " Funny. You're the one who called me.

Rain fell harder, blurring the space between them.

"I warned you to forget me, " Kabir continued. "Some affairs don't end... they bleed".

Aarohi stepped closer, anger and pain mixing in her veins. " You don't get to vanish and then decide what I remember."

For a moment, something broke in Kabir eye's.

Before he could speak, a sudden sound shattered the silence -

a gunshot.

Aarohi screamed as something warm splashed onto her hands.

Red.

Crimson.

Kabir collapsed in front of her.

Her world stopped.

As sirens echoed in the distance, one thought burned in her mind-

This was no longer just love.

This was a Crimson Affair.

Police sirens tore through the silence.

Aarohi knelt beside Kabir, his blood staining

her trembling hands.

Rain, tears, and crimson - everything mixed.

"You're under arrest, " a voice said.

As she was dragged away, her eyes met

Kabir's.

They opened.

Barely alive he whispered her name,

"Aarohi... "

Her heart broke in that moment.

Was he the love she was meant to save... or the secret she was never meant to discover?
