Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: the ruined world

*ZZZ... ZZZ...**

The sound of Jiwon's phone buzzing broke the silence. He slowly opened his eyes, still groggy, and reached for his phone. The bright light from the screen hurt his eyes, and he squinted.

His body felt heavy, like he hadn't slept at all. The buzzing wouldn't stop, so he finally sat up, rubbing his eyes.

[Jiwon]

*Was it a dream? Or something else?*

He looked around his room. It felt too quiet, like everything was off. He glanced at the window, and something didn't feel right. The sunlight seemed too harsh, and the usual sounds of the city felt distant.

Suddenly, a light flickered in front of him. It was bright, like a star falling into his room. His heart raced.

Then, a hologram system was before him , like it came from nowhere.

[ A hologram system]

| "Welcome to the System

|. Task: Survive the Collapse."

[Jiwon]

*A system? What is this? A dream?*

Before he could think more, the voice spoke again.

[The system]

**"You are in the new world now. Your objective is clear: Come to Eternal Valley City. It is your only chance for survival."**

[Jiwon ,standing ]

, "WHAA...???"

Then he immediately ran towards the window to see whats happening.

The world changed

Sky became red and rifts started opening and monsters appearing

[Jiwon]

NO WAY!

[The System]

Task: For now you have no choice but to move to the Eternal Valley city

[Jiwon]

*Eternal Valley City?*

The name felt strange. He immediately thought of his manhwa *Rewritten Reality*, the story he created. But this wasn't his world. It couldn't be.

[Jiwon]

*What's going on?*

He muttered to himself, gripping the edge of his desk. His mind was racing.

The voice continued, interrupting his thoughts.

[System]

**"Travel to the location marked on your map. Survive the journey. If you fail to comply, your existence will be terminated."**

A glowing map appeared in front of him, showing the way to *Eternal Valley City*. It was far, farther than any place he knew.

[Jiwom]

"Hey this looks like Incheon city? But the map is showing there? What's happening really to this world?".

Suddenly, the map blurred, and another message appeared.

**"You are required to survive. Collect elements from the creatures known as 'Monsters'—sell them for food. The more you gather, the stronger you will become. If you wish to live, follow the tasks."**

Before he could think, another message flashed:

The news channel:-

**"A building has been identified. Survivors have gathered there. Seventy percent of the global population has been wiped out due to a massive natural disaster. Thirty percent are the only survivors."**

Jiwon's heart skipped a beat. Was this real? Had the world really changed? His hands shook as he looked around, trying to make sense of everything. Outside, the world flickered like a damaged manhwa page.

[Jiwon]

*This feels like my story... but it's not. This is real life.*

The voice returned, its tone colder now.

[System]

**"Make your way to the building. You must comply with the rules in order to survive."**

Suddenly a monster entered Jiwon's house.

It's a goblin with fire power

[Jiwon]

"Oh No"

Suddenly Jiwon jumps from the building he was and landed on a safe carrier in a truck with some sofas while his building was in fire.

Next:-

**The Building**

Jiwon stepped out into the streets. His legs felt heavy, like each step was harder than the last. People passed by, not noticing the strange changes around them. He could see faint, glowing symbols above their heads, but no one seemed to care.

Jiwon saw many people trembling with fear and they were also the survivors like him now.

As he walked toward the building marked on the map with the people , he saw a man standing at the entrance. He was tall, dressed in shining golden armor, his face hidden behind a mask. His presence was powerful.

**(Armored Man)**

"Welcome to the Ruined World,"

People became scared

[ Armoured man]

"There is no future for those who try to survive without embracing the system. You will live... or you will die."

[Jiwon's] pulse raced.

*Survive? What does he mean?*

[Armored Man]

"We've promised survival to those who follow the rules. The system offers you power, but in return, you must collect elements from monsters. Sell them. Trade them. Gain food, resources, and the power you need to keep going."

Jiwon blinked, his head spinning. This world was nothing like he imagined. It was darker. More dangerous. The monsters were real, and survival wasn't just about being strong. It was about following the rules.

[Armored Man]

"You think you can survive without taking part in the system?" he said, his voice cold. "The world you knew is gone. This is the new reality. Follow the system, and you will survive. Fail, and you will die."

[Jiwon] felt his throat tighten.

*This is real.*

His heart pounded in his chest. He had no choice now. The world had changed. He had to survive it.

But how?

Jiwon wasn't thinking whether he shouldn't have thought anything bad so he just thought for a moment whats happening

[Jiwon]

"This looks like my manhwa setup"

"But it is not how I started."

One of them shouted as he got a system

[System]

Name: Seo-jun

Status: corporation officer

Ability: running

Speed:lv 2

Agility: lv 1

Congrats! You have become an Astral Breaker

Suddenly all the people got the system.

Jiwon stood there, surrounded by this new world. *Eternal Valley City* looked like his manhwa, but it was all wrong. This wasn't the story he had created. It was harsher, darker, and scarier.

He didn't have powers like everyone else. No flashy abilities. He had something different.

[System]

Name: Han Jiwon

Speed[ lv 1]

Agility [ lv 1] basic

Ability:

Hero saw closer to the screen

*Creator Authority*.

He didn't fully understand it, but he could feel it. It was power—but not like the others. He wasn't just part of the system. He was something more.

As the armored figure disappeared into the building, Jiwon stayed where he was. He looked around at the twisted world. This was his world—*Rewritten Reality*—but twisted into something darker.

The system had control now, but Jiwon wasn't ready to give up. Not yet.
