Chapter 3 - Nexus, The System of Anotherworlder

First and foremost, welcome to the game Rise. It's an honor to have you take part in it, the same way it's an honor for you to be a part of it. Before I get down to the system's mechanic, I would advise you to refrain from asking questions until we go over each section. Once we cover each category, feel free to ask anything in between, and after our explanations. With that being said, let me introduce you to—

______

1: XP Level

2: Shinobi Skills and Stats

3: Perks and Bloodlines

4: Bingo Book Listing

5: Item Shop

6: Options

______

The list of everything that will be covered here. The first is your level, but that should be self explanatory thanks to the status window currently in front of you. The only things update to date on in it is your level, name, classification, and current status. Instead, let's go ahead and tackle the next slot, Shinobi Skills and Stats. Give me a second, and I'll pull up the window on that.

Rise nodded his head, brushing his hair to the side as he watched his status window begin to erase itself. Slowly, new information began to overtake what was previously typed, a long stack of stats being present to him alongside additional information.

______

'That's quite the list. Then again, it would make sense to have all this if it's just for my stats.' Rise brought a hand up to his mouth in a thinking pose, watching as the system began to retype itself again.

As you can see, most of your stats are currently at the base level for the average genin. Well, all except three: luck, kenjutsu, and taijutsu. Your luck is zero only because I made it that way. Not as a penalty, but because you yourself have to upgrade it by the games rules, so I'm not gonna start you out with points towards luck. However, your kenjutsu and taijutsu are a different story.

I took your past experiences and transferred them here. Out of everyone in your graduating class, you're the best swordsman there. Also, don't worry about your Kendo sword. I have that covered in your inventory which you can access later, but we're just about done with this section. Feel free to ask me any questions if you any.

"Well, I do have one. Is that really the average for ninjutsu and genjutsu? Seems hard to believe."

Four techniques that each student learns in the academy are transformation, clone technique, body replacement, and the body flicker. Despite one of their most talented being known as Shisui of the Body Flicker, they never used it for the test, and only required the other techniques... Which are rarely ever used throughout the series. I'd definitely say that's the avetest for a genin.

"Fair enough. Alright, that's it for me."

Meaning we can now move on to the perks and bloodlines. Although, since it's locked for now de to you having not completed the tutorial with me, I'll just explain the basics of it. The perks and bloodlines category is basically what it sounds like. You can use points to purchase abilities and kekki genkai, but not all of them are purchasable straight off the bat. A good amount of them need their requirements unlocked to make them available, so you're not getting any of them early any time soon.

However, this one we can flip over to is gonna be better than a locked section. Introducing, the Bingo Book Listing!

The information present from the original page began to change once more. With a new textbox being digitized, the words "Bingo Book Listing" quickly appeared at the top before a single image showed up of a random woman he's never seen before. The information being typed under began to reveal the basics about her name, status, occupation, etc.

While this should be self explanatory, the Bingo Book Listing is basically compiled files of targets that you can persue. It contains information on both men and women, so picking any one of them to hunt down for a bounty, or pursue for any mission related/personal reasons makes this book a must have. It also grants double the rewards for targets completed with this book's usage, but only on the condition that your target isn't from Konohagakure, or is any of the following: a dangerous ninja from a rival village, missing-nin, or potential security threats that are to be eliminated given the opportunity. Any questions?

Rise shook his head. Seeing as he was ready to move on, the textbox began to change once again as he thought about the bingo book. Long story short, it was definitely worth it in the long run for double the rewards, but he'd have to check it for himself once the chance arises. Once the typing concluded, his eyes began to widen from shock as a long list was presented to him about purchasables.

6: Selling and Dismantling

______

Here, we have the item shop. Ignoring your empty pockets, this is where you'll soon be making every purchase that you'll ever need. Need a new weapon? We got that! Wanna sell your loot? We got a good price for you and more. All of that, with the benefits of it being a universal shop that only you have access too. Why go to an in person store and be picked dry when we have affordable prices and endless possibilities? The possibilities are never ending!

"I see what you did there sneaking in Endless Possibilities. Nice touch."

Why thank you kind sir. However, that's the full jist of the item shop. It has six individual categories. Five which you can purchase from, and the selling/dismantling section where you sell things you don't want anymore, or break them down into core components you might need for later. With that being said, you got any questions?

"I was gonna ask about how I can obtain Ryo, but I feel like you already have that taken care for what I'll be doing. Instead, does the selling and dismantle also work on items that aren't purchased from the system?"

Yes. It's a universal system that even accepts products and other items outside the game. Even if it's useless in this world, the game will find use out of it depending on what it is. Just keep in mind that not everything is beneficial in that category.

"Noted." Rise answered with a nod of his head. "That leaves the options page as the final section on the list."

Yeah, but we're not gonna check it out. You won't really go into it like that, but it can make some changes to the game within certain restrictions. And no, it doesn't come with a logout button, obviously. Other than that, your introduction to the game is complete. Now we can get to the real fun.

Before he could question what the system was alluding to, Rise watched as each textbox present before him began to shrink down to that of paper you'd normally find in a small paperback novel. The first sheet to float at the front was his status, follow by his stats, perks and bloodlines, bingo book listing, item shop, and finally the options category. They crashed into each other, all pages being glued together by the right side before a black leather cover wrapped itself around the pages. It was formatted to act as a manga, but the name that was written onto it caught his attention.

Nexus.

"Your name is Nexus?"

Yes, and no. It's not my name, but one for the system. Just feel free to address me by it to make it more convenient for yourself. Also, a little explanation before we move on, any time you need to access something in the game, you can always say/think the name of it, or tap your book on that specific page.

"That's good to know. One of these days, I might get fed up with the whole 'speaking of the category' thing."

Trust me, I know. Anyway, here's something to get you started with the system. Sending it... Now.

______

"Ero-talk? What hell is that?" His eyes immediately looked towards the second textbox beginning to retype itself. Despite having the information present for it, his main thought was why would he need it?

Oh yeah, I almost... No I didn't, I was just saving this part for last. So, I never told you what kind of game this was. From seeing the status, I know you were able to tell it was an RPG, but I never told you what kind.

"Meaning that whatever it is, it most likely ties into that weird perk I was given."

You're right on the money. Basically, my systems employs that of an SRPG. Instead of the usual completing tasks, defeating enemies, and training, you'll improve your stats and skills by having sex with the women of the Narutoverse.

The air grew deafly quiet the moment he heard that sentence. Rise slowly raised his right hand, using his pinky to pick at his ear while his expression grew serious. After a few seconds, he pulled his pinky out before flicking away the ear wax that was stuck to it, and then washing the rest away in the stream near his feet. Rise then leaned forward, placing a hand up to ear as if he was unsure that he heard that correctly.

Nexus (as they referred to themselves) after seeing this, immediately began fiddling with the code of the system's textbox. Seconds later, a microphone icon suddenly appeared at the top left corner.

... You're gonna fuck women to get stronger!

The increased volume made him clasp his ears in pain. A ringing sound clashed against his skull, and all Rise could do was slowly shake his head to rid himself of said noise. On the other hand, the system just watched him as seconds began passing by for his recovery. All that greeted Nexus was a glare from its chosen gamer.

"What the hell! First you tell me I have to fuck women to get stronger, then you scream in my ear?! You gotta be joking me."

Unfortunately for you, I am not. My game is a Sensual RPG that I have gifted you with, primarily because it's the fastest way for you to get ahead. That, and you spent most of your life without a girlfriend, fighting, and nearing your end. I know you're inexperienced in both romance and intercourse, but look at this as an opportunity.

"What opportunities come from being a man-whore?" A growl escaped his lips, Rise's blue eyes glaring daggers at the textbox. "This just sounds like gooner bait, and I'm not interested."

Well, it's not gooner bait. That's just how my game was designed to cut ahead of curve. It's more flexible, gives you time to figure things out, and you're not constantly in a rush to make a name for yourself. Sure, it's a weird design that doesn't seem worth it in the beginning, but trust me on this one. You'll find more out of this than that boring old RPG system that most RPGs usually build.

Rise didn't answer, choosing to think things over. Yeah, it was definitely weird for sure. Playing a gamer where sex makes you grow sounded all kinds of wrong in his new life, but he couldn't act like it didn't exist in his previously life. While a regular RPG was preferable than this, he really didn't have the right to complain. Nexus—whoever they were—willingly went out of their way to give him a second shot at life. That speaks more for itself than what this system was based on.

The entire time spent with the system has been nothing but hospitable. Excusing the earlier ringing of his ear drums, Nexus didn't give him any reason not to trust him. That, and chances like this are once in a lifetime. The system chose him, and he'd be stupid to go against it because it was something he never experienced.

"... Fine. I'll look forward to whatever this game has to offer."

Hell yeah. By the way, you still have some time before your main mission. I still need to give you the background information this version of you here in the Narutoverse has, so do you wanna do some upgrading on your Ero-Talk perk?

"Sure, I'm down for it. I can at least get used to the system that way."

Perfect. For this, go ahead and use your book. You'll find it to be more convenient honestly.

Doing as told, he opened the pages of his paperback novel system. It didn't take long to arrive a few pages over on his bolded "Perks and Bloodlines" section, seeing Ero-Talk being the only unlocked power.

______

Ero-Talk (perk): Civilian women you interact with will find you cute, making it possible to sweet talk them. Has a high chance of any woman reading into your advances, meaning they'll most likely reject them. Only one woman can be affected by this perk at a time. [Upgrade: 3 points]

______

So, whenever you want to access or upgrade something, all you'll have to do is tap it. Sometimes it'll give you a question before confirmation, other times it'll let you deposit points individually before confirming, etc. For this, just hit yes after you tap to upgrade it. It's pretty simple.

Instead of replying, Rise went ahead and tapped his perk. As told, the game asked him "would you like to upgrade Ero-Talk" to which he hit yes for confirmation. Slowly, the ink on the page began to turn into squiggly lines as it rewrote itself. A few seconds went by before he was now given the upgraded version of his perk.

______

Ero-Talk: Civilian women will find you attractive, meaning they'll more likely pursue you of their own volition. Civilian women are more likely to entertain/accept your advances anytime you sweet talk them. [Upgrade: 5 points]

______

"More likely to entertain my advances eh? So what—it's a possibility that she'll reject me no matter how many times I charm her?"

More so that you could hit all the right buttons, but she'll pull one of three options: take you upon your offer, reject the advancement if its not what she wants, or flirt with the idea for a while until she commits to one of the first two options. Either way, your line of thinking is still correct.

"Go figure. So, it's time for that first mission you got for me right?"

Yep. It's coming in right now.

______

Main Mission: One of the graduates - Make your way to Konohagakure Ninja Academy so you can receive your team placement. Time Remaining: 20:00

______

Before you leave, don't worry about not knowing where to go. I fixed up a page for you that acts as map of your current location. Also, let me get you hardwired with your past here.

Digital code immediately began manifest on his skin. Even though it alarmed him, Rise naturally began to settle into it as black and green binary coding over took his body. It crawled from his arms and legs on upward, reaching his neck in a matter of seconds before creeping onto his face. His pupils began dilating as ones and zeroes began entering his vision, his mind being filled with key information in regards to his life up until now here. Once everything calmed down, a frown grew on his face.

Here in this life, he was an orphan too. An orphan who had constantly gotten into fights once more like his past self, and hated the orphanage in the village. His classmates tended to avoided him because of this, and his tendency to push others away. Seems like much didn't change, but now they would with him being reincarnated here. Meaning there was only one thing left to do.

"Still an orphan, huh?" Rise questioned.

More freedom to do as you please, and I have some thins worked out for you. We can always get to that later, but you'll see why when you meet the other two orphans just like you.

"Fine by me. Let's go Nexus."

Rise turned on the heels of his shinobi sandals before taking a step forward. With each step that he began to take, his pace started to pick until he began sprinting through the forest. His adrenaline kicked it, ready for the natural feeling this body was accustomed to. When the opportunity presented itself, he didn't hesitate to apply pressure to his legs to do the impossible. He released that added tension from his limbs, and flew through the air as he landed on a tree branch.

"Holy shit!" Rise exclaimed without thinking, hIs adrenaline rushing throughout his system as he heart started beating faster.

He was already on his next jump as he soared through the sky while checking out the map of the textbox. "Training Ground 3" was his current location. His brain easily recognized it as the training ground that Team Seven often frequented, and all it did was make Rise smile softly at the thought. A whole life in another world was awaiting him.

While he didn't know what was in store—nor did he feel fully ready to embrace the system's strange leveling system—he was determined to give it his best shot.
