Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 White Pig Strengthens the Body

Liu Chen looked at the Jade Skin Gu in his hand; he had easily refined this Jade Skin Gu.

Having acquired these two Gu, Liu Chen's mood was exceptionally pleasant. However, he wasn't carried away by joy; instead, he calmly considered his next steps. After careful deliberation, he decided not to continue exploring this area but to turn back and enter Qing Mao Mountain.

Having just acquired the White Hog Gu, he was already somewhat hungry. In order to activate this Gu, Liu Chen had to feed it until it was full.

So, Liu Chen decided to go into the mountains to kill a wild boar to feed this White Hog Gu. He moved through the forest, carefully searching for traces of wild boars. However, the range of Qing Mao Mountain was simply too vast, and finding a wild boar was not an easy task.

Liu Chen wandered aimlessly in the mountains for an hour, finally discovering a plump wild boar in a valley. The wild boar was leisurely eating grass, completely unaware of the approaching danger.

Liu Chen secretly rejoiced, immediately summoning the Thousand Li Earth Wolf Spider. The Thousand Li Earth Wolf Spider shot out like lightning, instantly catching up to the wild boar. The wild boar let out a tragic cry and fell into a pool of blood. Liu Chen walked forward, looking at the wild boar he had hunted, and couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion.

He had wasted a lot of time in Qing Mao Mountain for this wild boar.

Liu Chen unhesitatingly took out the White Hog Gu from his Aperture. This Gu was only the size of a thumb, like a ladybug carved from white jade, pure white and flawless, emitting a faint glow.

The White Hog Gu lightly flew to the wound on the wild boar's body. The Gu seemed to smell the fresh blood and quickly burrowed into the wild boar's body.

Time passed minute by minute, and the White Hog Gu frantically devoured the flesh and blood inside the wild boar's body.

Before long, this originally plump wild boar was reduced to a pile of white bones, with not a single shred of meat remaining.

Liu Chen looked at the scene before him with satisfaction; he knew that the White Hog Gu's appetite was indeed astonishing. A two to three hundred jin wild boar was completely consumed by this thumb-sized White Hog Gu. This was only the amount for one feeding. The White Hog Gu needed to be fed every five days, which meant Liu Chen had to hunt a wild boar every five days, otherwise, the White Hog Gu would starve to death.

However, he didn't take all the bones, only selecting two wild boar tusks. These two wild boar tusks were the most valuable part of the wild boar; the other bones had little use for him, so he simply discarded them on the spot.

By the time Liu Chen returned to his School dormitory room, the sun had already set in the west, and a faint afterglow streaked across the sky. He didn't bother to admire the beautiful scenery, hurrying into his room, sitting cross-legged on the bed, and preparing to begin using the White Hog Gu.

Liu Chen took a deep breath, concentrated, and then activated the White Hog Gu. Following his mental guidance, it strengthened his body.

However, the process of transforming the physical body was not smooth sailing. As the White Hog Gu's energy continuously infused, Liu Chen's body began to feel increasingly intense pain.

This pain escalated from a slight soreness and throbbing to a tearing agony, as if his body was being ripped apart.

Liu Chen gritted his teeth, cold sweat beading on his forehead, but he persisted, refusing to give up easily. However, when the pain reached the limit of what he could endure, he knew he couldn't continue, otherwise, excessive use of the White Hog Gu could cause irreversible damage to his body.

Finally, Liu Chen painstakingly stopped using the White Hog Gu. He gasped for breath, his body trembling slightly from extreme exhaustion. At this moment, his clothes were soaked with sweat, clinging tightly to him.

"Come, drink!"

Accompanied by hearty shouts, the Mountain Village's tavern was filled with the rich aroma of wine and a lively atmosphere.

"Brother Liu Er, you hunted another wild deer today, what great skill! My admiration for you, little brother, is like a continuous, surging river!" One of the hunters said with a fawning expression, his words revealing extreme envy for Brother Liu Er.

Brother Liu Er heard this and a triumphant smile appeared on his face, which was flushed red from drinking. Under the flattery of the others, he became even more excited.

Just then, Liu Chen stepped into the tavern. His gaze quickly swept over the few people who were drinking, and hearing their conversation, his heart stirred, and he immediately walked over to them.

"Gentlemen, I'd like to ask you a question." Liu Chen spoke politely, his voice seeming a little weak in the noisy tavern.

However, these hunters didn't seem to take Liu Chen seriously. They turned their heads and looked at the fifteen or sixteen-year-old boy, seeing his slender build and youthful face, a stark contrast to their tall, bearded, burly figures.

"Whose child are you? Don't disturb us sirs while we're drinking, go play somewhere else!" One of the hunters waved his hand impatiently, his tone very impolite.

The others also chimed in, expressing their displeasure at Liu Chen's interruption.

Ignored in such a manner by those hunters, Liu Chen surprisingly did not get angry at all. He merely looked grim, activated the Moonlight Gu, and a strange light suddenly appeared in his palm.

In the blink of an eye, a crystal-clear Moon Blade, emitting a cold glow, appeared in his palm.

This Moon Blade looked as if it was condensed moonlight, its edge shimmering with a cold light.

Liu Chen held the Moon Blade, his face calm, and looked at the hunters, saying faintly, "I'll give you another chance to rephrase your words."

The hunters, who had been drinking heavily, suddenly saw the Moon Blade appear in Liu Chen's hand and were instantly sobered up. They stared wide-eyed, their faces full of terror as they looked at Liu Chen. Their faces, which had been flushed red, instantly turned ashen white.

The leader of the hunters, named Liu Er, began to tremble uncontrollably. His legs went weak, and with a "thud," he knelt on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly and begging for mercy: "Gu Master, spare my life! We, your humble servants, were blind and offended you. Please, Gu Master, be magnanimous and let us go! Whatever you wish, just command, and we will surely obey and satisfy you!"

Liu Chen looked at the terrified expressions of Liu Er and the others, the Moon Blade in his hand still shimmering with a cold light. His voice was cold and devoid of any emotion: "Since that's the case, I'll ask you a question. You must answer truthfully. If you dare to lie even a little, don't blame me for being ruthless."

Liu Er nodded vigorously, like a pounding garlic, and replied, "No problem, Gu Master, ask whatever you wish, we humble servants would never dare to hide anything!"
