Chapter 13 – The Demon's Gaze
From the broken earth rose a towering demon.
Four horns.
Cracked obsidian skin.
Burning crimson eyes.

Hunters froze.
Even instructors hesitated.
This wasn't something students should face.
The demon's gaze locked onto Arjun.
And it smiled.
"You…"
Its voice echoed inside his mind.
"Monarch scent…"
Arjun's heart skipped.
Monarch?
The demon ignored everyone else.
It lunged directly at him.
Arjun barely blocked with reinforced shadows.
The impact sent him sliding across stone.
His shadows were ripped apart.
The difference in level was overwhelming.
But something strange happened.
The system window glitched.
[Hidden Authority Detected]
[Override Available]
Arjun's vision darkened.
For a split second—
He stood in a throne room of endless shadows.
A crown hovered above him.
The demon froze mid-attack.
It stepped back.
And bowed slightly.
Impossible.
"Not yet…" the demon growled.
"You are not ready."
Then it tore open a portal—
And vanished.
Leaving the entire battlefield silent.
Arjun collapsed to one knee.
