Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Underworld Academy

Not long after the wheel came to a silent halt. Sebastian stood up and opened the door. When he stepped down he held it long enough for Mike to get off.

Upon getting out of the carriage, Mike was met with a huge building. From the looks of it, it was still further away. There are other large buildings on the sides Accompanied by medium and small ones.

It looked like a small town with Renaissance style architecture. The place had a gothic-like atmosphere to it bringing a chill-like feeling to anyone looking at it for the first time.

"There it is Young Master, a place where people of all background types come and gain recognition based on their skill not bloodline."

Sebastian commented seeing Mike's fascinated face.

"One last advice Young Master"

Mike quickly got out of his daze and looked back at Sebastian.

"Be careful whom you befriend in there. There will be many opportunists who will only be interested in getting close to you because of your background. There will be bad actors who will try to work behind your back while playing friend and finally. There will be those who see you as a rival to take out"

He turned his head and stared at the academy buildings. His eyes narrowed as if to look at something or someone.

"But young master, this journey you are about to take will need some trusted allies who shall be at your back and call and most importantly. Those whom you are willing to die for as well."

After that advice he walked forward to the gates of the school.

***

"Hey look at that carriage, think that's him"

"Wow, I didn't think he'd look so devilishly hot"

"So that's him huh, as long as he stands in his lane and knows his place, all shall be well"

"I heard he is a human, think it's true?"

All kinds of murmurs could be heard wherever they passed. Mike could feel thousands of Eyes on him, some curious, some neutral but there were quite a few hostile ones.

It went as far and felt some having bloodlust in them. But at this moment he could care less on everyone's opinion. He'd have time to address them if ever they crossed paths.

"So that's him huh"

Up in the highest floor from the huge building stood a devilish seductive woman and a man in black. The woman was laid on the couch with a glass of unknown contents in her hand. While the man stood up and staring down the window.

"Yes, that's him"

The woman replied. The man turned around and looked at the woman, his eyes devoid of emotion despite looking at the long legs crossed with a slim waist visible under the T-shirt, a few buttons undone because of the developed chest.

"From how you described him I thought I'd be seeing a dragon with 10 heads. He smells human and a hint of that disgusting God smell"

The woman stood up and picked a book off the coffee table, ruffled some pages, walked over to the office table and sat on it.

"You really shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Starting today he will be your problem. Make sure nothing bad happens to him Professor Stark"

Stark's eyes moved a bit but quickly went back to their disinterested self.

"Headmaster, had I perhaps done something wrong as of late to warrant such a punishment?"

Words spoken so eloquently without a change in tone but Cassandra could feel nervousness oozing from them.

"Ow no Prof Stark, It is quite the contrast, you are the only person I trust in this whole institute"

He quickly shifted his head back to her.

"Has something happened in the academy to have you in high alarm headmaster? Who are they, they should be put to trial"

Hehehe, Cassandra let out a slow laugh, then looked at Proff start in the eyes. He once seductive smile switched into a serious look.

"You see, it's that naive nature of yours that I chose. Well of course there are other things to factor in my decision but the bottom line is, your power and bloodline makes you the perfect candidate to see this through"

Then it hit him, He was new to the school so he couldn't have formed any connection. He came from a far away land and his family in one pride and never does anything that is underhanded. Sinkor Stark of the Stark Clan. Bloodline, Chaos Dragon.

"Is the reason you brought me here, for him.? 400 clear quartz is a hefty price"

She got off the desk, walked around to the chair and got something from the top right drawer.

"You going to need this to musk off that dragon presence of yours"

Sinkor's eye almost bulged out from his eyes. On the table were glasses. Not any classes. There seems like multiple kinds of quartz were used in the classes.

"Headmistress, isn't this a little… much"

She acted as though she didn't hear him.

"Make sure he doesn't realize that you are actually protecting him, I want him to feel every situation"

"What about when he is gone far for an assignment"

"Well too bad I guess, he wouldn't be worth it then. You can be on your way now"

Sinkor took the glasses and put them on. The moment they perfectly sat on his face they changed into ordinary looking ones. Then he quickly walked out.

"Should have asked that old bastard for more quartz, this is emptying my wallet"

About 20 minutes passed.

Knock! Knock!

"Show yourself in."

When Mike walked in, Cassandra was on her office chair with a document in hand. Seeing her Mike was amazed at how beautiful she was. But still she couldn't be anywhere near his mother.

'I don't know why, but I just felt insulted'

Cassandra suddenly had a feeling in her gut.

"Pleasure to meet you Headmaster"

Sebastian was the first to break the silence. His old eye trained on the demoness sat viewing a Document. She slowly lifted her eyes, looked at Mike then slowly went to Sebastian.

"Master Sebastian, you look younger every time I lay my eyes on you. What is your morning skin routine, care to share."

A smile bloomed on her face. Sebastian just chuckled a bit.

"Ow you know, the blood of my enemies sure enrich the skin with all the nutrients and such"

His hand went and landed on Mike's shoulder. Who is a little confused by the two's interaction.

"This young lad here is Mike, he will be in your care starting today"

Her eyes went back to Mike. A seductive smile bore her face, Red eye glowing and a melody to melt any man's pitiful heart.

"You are as handsome as I imagined. Welcome to Underworld Delta Academy you can call it UDEA for short. As you can hear it's quite long at could be hard on the mouth to say"

Sebastian narrowed his eyes.

"Ahem, Headmaster would you behave yourself in front of the young please"

Quickly she changed her face, handed Sebantian the document she had in her hand.

"Sign this and we shall be set."

She walked to Mike and extended her hand. Mike reciprocated.

"Welcome to UDEA, hope to hear crazy stories from you"

"Ok all is in order. Mike put your blood here"

Sebastian instructed, which Mike grunted. He still remembers what happened the last time.

"Don't worry Young Master this is a normal dagger"

Cassandra raised an eyebrow when she heard that statement.

'Interesting'

That's all she could think.

"Here you go"

Sebastian handed her the Document. She followed that by shaking a small bell on her desk. A young man with a tail behind came walking fast.

"Yes Mam"

"Take mister Silver here to his class"

Following that the young man made a little bow and gestured to Mike to follow him.

"Headmaster Cassandra I'll be seeing you"

"So the dagger, You gave it to him"

Sebastian turned his head and looked her directly in her eyes.

"Do be careful what you speak headmaster, something aren't to be spoken off so lightly"

Following that he walked out after a small bow.

Mike was immersed by the amazing designs of the buildings. Outside each building had a story to tell. But the details were inside.

"Woow!"

An expression of awe escaped his lips without his knowing. The young man walking with him looked at him and smiled.

"It's truly is a magnificent design isn't it"

Mike suddenly came back at the young man.

"It sure is, how old is this place"

The young man got confused by that question. It was not everyday that anyone asked that question. The academy stood here so long that even a 5 year old kid knew about it as they too wished to enroll here. But looking at Mike's inquisitive eyes, it showed that he was genuinely clueless of this place.

"Um, haven't you been informed about how this Academy came to be from your parents or something?"

It was time for Mike to be confused, it would appear,he asked something he should already know.
