In 2005, on 7 August, sightings of anomalies began. At first, it was just a rumour, another lie spread on the internet, like those Creepypastas, or analogue horror stories narrated on social media, or so it was thought. Until various phenomena began to appear, the rumours began to be taken more seriously. At first, they were strange but not supernatural: new species of animals emerging from nowhere, animals larger than normal and aggressive, sandstorms in places far from the desert.
The peace was interrupted two years later with the appearance of anomalies that defied all logic, reaching the point of absurdity. gravity increased dramatically in some specific places until it was impossible to even exist in those places, hordes of animals, or what appeared to be animals, walking despite being dead and in an advanced state of decomposition, and more anomalies that defied everything studied and discovered by science, by humanity.
It did not take long for global catastrophes to arrive, dragging society into disorder and from disorder into anarchy, with human civilisation almost disappearing in what was a war for survival. There were no governments, no order or law, only cruel indiscriminate slaughter. But along with the creatures, they also appeared, the so-called "Users", people who have access to something called "the system".
These individuals can gain skills and become stronger based on the XP earned from monsters originating from anomalies, among other methods. It was madness. What initially appeared to be a case of global dementia caused by video games affecting a minority turned out to be the only salvation for the human race.
Currently, in 2030, humanity is trying to resist the emerging monsters and anomalies, taking the initiative in a fight for human survival, trying to rebuild a government and with it human civilisation, forming "The Council", whose leadership, like all previous ones in human history, was not perfect but maintained order, its influence reaching almost the entire earth. This is the story of Williams.
