Chapter 115 - 115

[Name: Lucky Goddess's Pendant (Damaged)]

[Quality: Legendary]

[Description: A crystal necklace once worn by the Goddess of Luck in her youth, said to hold the power of the Law of Luck. Now damaged, it can be repaired by special means.]

[Effect 1 – Goddess of Luck's Shelter: Every 40 (↓8) hours you gain one death-crisis block; stacks up to 12 (↑2) times.]

[Effect 2 – Goddess of Luck's Care: You are spared all misfortune (and all curses).]

[Effect 3 – Blessing of the Goddess of Luck: When activated, grants yourself the "Super Luck" state for 24 h. Cool-down: 6 days (↓1 day).]

[Effect 4 – Goddess of Luck's Scorn: When used on a target, inflicts "Super Bad Luck" for 24 h. Cool-down: 6 days (↓1 day).]

[durability: 100001/10000000]

[Note: When durability reaches 0, the pendant will be destroyed and can never be repaired.]

[Note: After successful repair, the pendant will unlock even stronger abilities.]

(Values in brackets show post-repair improvements)

Lin Bei watched the pendant's effects improve after a mere 1% repair, feeling delighted.

Most changes were simple cool-down reductions.

There was one exception, however.

The effect "Goddess of Luck's Care" now not only spared him misfortune but also granted full immunity to all curses.

With that, his last worry vanished.

He'd kept a low profile mainly for fear of being cursed from the shadows.

Now he could afford to be far bolder in his plans.

The boosted effects also gave him fresh motivation.

He'd once thought the pendant's ever-steeper repair costs unfair.

Now it felt perfectly reasonable!

So long as the effects grew stronger, burning a few more star stones was no big deal.

"I need to launch that Restaurant Chain fast."

"Otherwise star stones won't keep up."

The thought pressed on him.

Yet it couldn't be rushed; he'd have to visit other capitals first.

He meant to greet their lords, get acquainted—so even from afar they'd lend a hand.

As for what he could offer… he already knew.

His earlier chat with Tianjian City's lord, Hei Feng, had tipped him off: these city-lords craved Elemental Power to grow stronger.

But their status barred them from farming bosses in the Black-Fog Zones for elemental crystalss.

With Survivors throttling supply, the crystals were hard for them to obtain.

So he'd strike deals, trading crystals for protection of his future shops.

A win-win for both sides.

Nothing should go wrong.

As for rival alliances ganging up on him?

Lin Bei gave a cold laugh.

He didn't fear it—he welcomed it.

Enemies would receive no mercy.

To him every foe was a mystery loot-box of rewards—

indispensable EXP packs on his road to power.

He loved them for it!

"…Hmm, Super Luck activates in under an hour."

"Since I'm free, let's check the Lucky Set blueprints I just got!"

"Wonder what mats Legendary gear needs—can't wait."

Lin Bei opened his storage; three gold-glowing blueprints greeted him.

[Lucky Goddess's Earrings (blueprint): Legendary, part of the Lucky Set. Mats: boundless star stone ×100, Primal Force ×1.]

[Lucky Goddess's Bracelet (blueprint): Legendary, part of the Lucky Set. Mats: boundless star stone ×100, Primal Force ×1.]

[Lucky Goddess's Ring (blueprint): Legendary, part of the Lucky Set. Mats: boundless star stone ×100, Primal Force ×1.]

Only two materials needed—looked simple.

Yet when he read their descriptions his mouth twitched.

"These are the mats for Legendary gear? Ridiculous!"

Lin Bei stared, dumbstruck.

[boundless star stone: Legendary. A crystal condensed from the boundless cosmos, holding near-limitless energy.]

[Primal Force: The world's origin power. Obtain by refining world origin fragments—or by destroying an entire world.]

"…Worthy of Legendary gear, I guess."

"Just reading the list gives me a headache."

Rubbing his temples, he focused on "Primal Force" and chuckled wryly. "So it all circles back to world fragments."

"But what's this boundless star stone? Sounds a lot like star stones."

He frowned, clueless for now.

"I'll have to ask Aleria later; she'll know."

Shaking his head, he closed storage.

He checked the time—Super Luck would be ready in under an hour.

Via the base's spatial node he returned to his island, enjoyed a lavish meal, then stood before the Warehouse eyeing the mountain of supply treasure chests.

One glance told him the count: 4,399 exactly.

Some came from auto-fishing rods; others had been scooped up by his Shadow Tank Robot Guards.

All were at least superior grade; the best reached Transcendent Quality.

Rough ratio—superior: Fine: excellent: Perfect ≈ 3:4:2:1. Transcendent chests numbered only 30, under one percent.

Yet opening Transcendent chests required an extraordinary treasure chest key.

He didn't have a single one.

He wasn't worried.

Keys usually dropped from chests one tier lower; with his luck he'd fish plenty out.

"Qingqing, when will Order Beacon's people arrive?"

He asked the girl beside him.

"Calculated ETA: 3 hours 47 minutes 26 seconds."

"Good—well within my luck window."

He smiled.

"By the way, how far is Bei Bei Nan Gua?"

"She needs another 3 days 11 hours 11 minutes 11 seconds."

"Pretty far. Qingqing, tell the tank unit to escort her so nothing happens."

"Also, rent cheap thermal gear from the Trading Hall—keep more people alive; they're our future base."

"Yes, Master."

Qingqing nodded and left.

Alone at the vast Warehouse gate, he waited.

Soon the moment came.

Without hesitation he activated Super Luck!

The next second he used the wristband's batch-open function; beams of light shot onto the chests.

Colors flashed endlessly as chests cracked open, resources pouring into his storage.

Meanwhile system pings rang in his ears like a storm!
