Chapter 166 - 166

And!

She had just swept the area of Apachi's explosion with her Spirit sense—yet not a single item had dropped.

That… was simply too illogical!

The blast had been terrifying, but she refused to believe it could obliterate both the world origin fragments and the patrol envoy token on Apachi's body.

The toughness of world origin fragments needs no explanation; even a true god would struggle to destroy them.

As for the patrol envoy token, it's a Cleric's proof of identity, forged by a deity—equally indestructible.

Even if Apachi had been turned to ash, those two items should have remained.

Yet now… every one of them had vanished into thin air!

It made no sense!

"Uh… I got a bit carried away; didn't expect to blow him to bits, haha… Don't sweat the small stuff—your nemesis is dead, right? The outcome's good."

Lin Bei came back to his senses, rubbed his nose, and laughed it off.

"The items he dropped—did the world rules Teleport them to you?"

Aleria's gaze snapped straight to Lin Bei.

Seeing her stare, Lin Bei nodded. "Yep, plenty of good stuff—all on me."

"Do you have the patrol envoy token?"

Aleria pressed urgently.

"Sure do."

"And the world origin fragments?"

"Those too."

"Phew—thank goodness. Hand over the patrol envoy token and the fragments; I need them badly."

Aleria exhaled in relief.

"I get why you want the fragments, but what's so special about the token?"

Lin Bei asked, puzzled.

Still, without hesitation he opened the trade window and sent over two fragments and one token.

He'd looted 2,000 fragments and 500 tokens from Apachi, but he wasn't reckless enough to hand them all over.

Better to keep a few secrets for safety.

"As a Cleric, I can absorb owner-less tokens to raise my authority. With Apachi's token I should be able to grant your island higher Underworld privileges!"

"On top of that, absorbing the energy inside a patrol envoy token strengthens my rank and grants me more dominion."

"In short, for us Clerics it's an absolute treasure!"

Aleria explained patiently.

"What if you had more tokens? Could you unlock further privileges?"

"Of course! But obtaining owner-less tokens isn't easy, and to raise my authority again I'd need to absorb ten more divine proofs of equal or higher grade."

"That's nearly impossible."

Aleria sighed. "Unless we're on the Chaos Battlefield—there might be a chance there."

"Chaos Battlefield? What place is that?"

Lin Bei asked, curiosity written on his face.

"It's the battlefield of the gods."

Aleria answered briefly, then quickly changed the subject. "Right—wait another two or three days and I'll open passage rights to Hell Level and Abyss-Level Underworlds for you."

"Also, find that Legendary character summoning card ASAP. With Apachi dead, the Order Faction will send someone even stronger after me before long."

"Oh, the Legendary character summoning card? Already found it."

"What? You've already found a Legendary card? That fast?"

Surprise flashed across Aleria's pretty face.

"Yep, and more than one. Let me count—"

Lin Bei smiled faintly, opened his storage space and glanced. "Hmm… only eighty-eight, not even a hundred—kinda low."

Yet those casual words struck Aleria like lightning.

"H-how many Legendary summoning cards did you say you have?!"

"Eighty-eight."

"You—tell me the truth: are you the Goddess of Luck's own son? How else could a Low-Tier Survival World Survivor collect so many Legendary cards in just a few days?!"

"Hey, watch your tongue! What nonsense! I'm just me—only a bit luckier than most."

Lin Bei frowned. "Besides, is the Goddess of Luck even married?"

"Um… no."

"Does she have a boyfriend?"

"No."

"See? No husband, no boyfriend—where would a son come from?"

Lin Bei rolled his eyes. "Stop the wild guesses. I'm just lucky, and isn't it better that I have more Legendary cards?"

"That way we can back up our whole faction. If anyone's in trouble they can be summoned to my island, just like you."

"Once we're all hiding in the Low-Tier Survival World, other factions won't find it so easy to target us."

Lin Bei grinned.

"Your idea… is workable, but…"

Aleria's eyes lit up, then quickly dimmed. "Legendary cards can only summon allies up to Legendary rank. The people on the Chaos Battlefield… we still can't help them."

"If we can't evacuate everyone, their supply lines will collapse."

"No biggie—just find higher-tier summoning cards later. As for logistics, I already control a King-Level Dungeon World; give me time to secure higher ranks and their rear will be rock-solid."

Lin Bei waved a confident hand.

"My only worry is what happens on the Chaos Battlefield if we pull everyone out."

"I don't know what the Chaos Battlefield does, but from how grave you sounded, it must be critical, right?"

"Yes, it's vital, but if it ever comes to life-or-death… we can abandon it."

Aleria's tone turned heavy. "All right—prepare your plan in secret. I'll pass word to the others; the final choice is theirs."

"For now, I need to find a quiet spot to unlock your permissions!"

"Enough talk—wait for my signal. Once it's done, summon me immediately."

"No problem."

Lin Bei smiled and nodded.

Soon their call ended.

Only then did Lin Bei finally have time to inspect the spoils from Apachi.

Suddenly his eyes fixed, his mouth fell open, and shock plus delight spread across his face.

"Damn, this talent… is freaking awesome!"
