Chapter: Calix vs Two Devils (Jay's POV)
I didn't know friendship with Mica would come with bonus entertainment.
But apparently…
It does.
And today's victim?
Calix.
We were sitting in the canteen.
Me.
Mica.
And unfortunately… Calix.
He was peacefully eating.
Peacefully.
That was his first mistake.
Mica leaned toward me and whispered, "Should I tell her?"
I immediately straightened. "Tell me what?"
Calix froze mid-bite.
"Mica," he warned.
She ignored him.
"Did you know," she said sweetly, "that this so-called cool guy once cried because he thought I was mad at him for three hours?"
I slowly turned to Calix.
"You cried?"
"I did NOT cry."
Mica gasped dramatically. "You sent me a paragraph!"
"That's not crying!"
"What paragraph?" I asked, eyes sparkling.
Mica unlocked her phone.
"No— Mica—"
Too late.
She started reading.
"'I don't know what I did wrong but if I hurt you I'm sorry and please don't ignore me because I can't focus when you're upset.'"
I slammed the table laughing.
"YOU WROTE THAT?"
Calix covered his face. "I hate both of you."
Mica continued mercilessly.
"And remember the time you tried to act cool in front of my friends but accidentally called me 'baby' loudly?"
My jaw dropped. "NO."
Calix looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him.
"It was an accident," he muttered.
I wiped fake tears. "Calix from Section E? Mister silent attitude? Saying baby?"
Mica nodded proudly. "And he turned red."
I leaned closer to Calix. "Say it again."
"Absolutely not."
"Come onnn."
"No."
"Calix baby—"
"JAY."
The canteen exploded in laughter.
Later, we went back to Section E.
Big mistake for Calix.
Because I don't waste content.
I walked in dramatically.
"Attention, Section E."
Keifer.
Yuri.
Cin.
David.
Emman.
Eren.
Rory.
Wrdix.
Mayo.
Kit.
Blaster.
Calix.
Felix.
All looked up.
"What now?" Felix asked cautiously.
I pointed at Calix.
"Your so-called calm, mysterious friend once wrote a three-hour emotional apology paragraph."
Silence.
Then—
"WHAT?!" Yuri shouted.
Rory almost fell off his chair laughing.
Blaster clutched his chest. "Not the silent guy!"
Calix glared at Mica. "Traitor."
She smiled sweetly. "Truth teller."
Cin leaned forward. "Read it."
"I didn't save it," Mica said.
Calix exhaled in relief.
"Because I memorized it."
The class SCREAMED.
Calix stood up. "I'm leaving."
I blocked his path.
"No no no. Stay, baby."
The boys started chanting, "BABY! BABY! BABY!"
Keifer was laughing.
Actually laughing.
Like full smile.
And I don't know why…
But seeing him laugh like that made me smile too.
Calix pointed at me. "You started this."
"Yes."
"You'll regret it."
"I never regret chaos."
Mica added softly, "He also once got jealous of a fictional character."
The room went silent.
I blinked.
"…Explain."
She nodded. "I said I liked a male lead from a drama. He didn't talk to me for half a day."
I gasped dramatically. "YOU FOUGHT A 2D MAN?"
Calix buried his face in his hands.
"I was not jealous," he mumbled.
Keifer finally spoke, smirking.
"Sounds familiar."
I turned sharply to him.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
He shrugged. "Nothing."
Oh.
Ohhh.
Jealousy reference.
I narrowed my eyes.
"Careful, ego king."
He leaned back lazily. "Careful, chaos queen."
The class whistled.
Mica leaned toward me and whispered, "You two are worse than us."
I rolled my eyes.
"We are not."
Calix muttered, "At least I admit I like my girlfriend."
Silence.
Section E went quiet again.
Mica blushed.
I raised my brows.
Keifer looked away first.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
After the teasing finally calmed down, Calix sat between us dramatically.
"I need new friends."
"Too late," I said.
Mica smiled. "You chose us."
He sighed. "Worst decision of my life."
I patted his shoulder. "Relax, baby."
He groaned loudly.
And for once—
Section E wasn't fighting.
No wars.
No ego clashes.
Just laughter.
And I realized something.
This feels nice.
Not dramatic.
Not intense.
Just… normal.
And maybe that's what we all needed.
Even if Calix will never live down the "baby" incident.
