After being brutally beaten by a group of Wood Golems, Obito had already been smashed into a bloody, mangled mess.
Seeing how miserable he looked, Naruko finally vented some of her anger. She dispelled both the Wood Golem and her Shadow Clones, then turned to Satsuki.
"Satsuki, your turn."
Satsuki stepped forward.
"This guy's already been beaten half to death by you. But that's fine—it saves me the trouble."
At that moment, a hidden Truth-Seeking Orb quietly emerged from underground and began cautiously restoring Obito's body.
This was a last-resort orb Obito had deliberately left behind when the Wood Golem smashed him into the ground earlier.
Under the healing effects of the Truth-Seeking Orb, his body gradually regenerated—though it still wasn't fully restored.
Satsuki simply watched him recover with cold indifference. After all, killing him too quickly would be letting him off too easily.
Using his Six Paths staff as a cane, Obito shakily forced himself to stand.
Even someone as stubborn as him now understood clearly that the gap between his strength and that of the two girls before him was enormous.
Satsuki opened her palm. Purple-black lightning gathered in her hand.
"Lightning Release: Lightning Prison."
The purple-black current instantly surrounded Obito, forming a cage of crackling lightning.
Obito slammed his staff hard against the cage.
But the moment it struck, the cage erupted with violent electricity.
"AAARGH!"
His entire body convulsed as the lightning coursed through him.
"Rinnegan."
At that moment, Satsuki's eyes transformed into crimson Rinnegan.
"Genjutsu."
Obito suddenly felt dizzy.
In the blink of an eye, he found himself in a completely unfamiliar place.
All around him stretched a vast lake of blood-red water. He himself was bound to a cross.
"Genjutsu, huh…"
Satsuki appeared before him, holding a blade.
Seeing her like this, Obito showed no fear at all.
"Hmph. Even if it's something like Tsukuyomi, what of it? Pain like this means nothing to me."
Satsuki replied coldly,
"Is that so? You dared curse Nagi—that alone is an unforgivable crime. How could I possibly let you off with mere physical pain?"
Her eyes narrowed.
Obito's vision flickered.
He suddenly found himself no longer bound to the cross—but strangely, he could not control his own body.
With a sinister smile, Satsuki said,
"When killing someone, you must destroy their heart first. Let me show you what true psychological torment looks like."
Obito scoffed.
But in the next moment, his expression froze.
From behind him came a familiar female voice.
"Obito…?"
Obito's eyes widened as he slowly turned his head.
There, bound to a cross, was a girl with short brown hair and large dark-brown eyes. She wore a light pink dress, dark red thigh-high socks, and red bracelets. Two purple markings were visible on her cheeks.
"Rin!!!"
Obito roared.
"You bastard! How dare you fabricate Rin inside your genjutsu! I'll never forgive you!"
Satsuki simply smiled.
"Oh? I never said she was fake."
"!!!"
Obito froze.
A terrifying possibility crossed his mind. Trembling, he asked,
"What do you mean…?"
Satsuki spoke calmly.
"I briefly looked through your memories. I didn't expect you to be this devoted. That girl is very important to you, isn't she?"
"Interestingly enough, using the Rinnegan, I discovered that her soul has been right beside you all this time."
"And yet—you never noticed."
Cold sweat instantly drenched Obito's body.
"Rin… she's… been watching me the whole time?"
He refused to believe it.
"You're lying! You're lying! You must be lying!!"
Satsuki spread her hands.
"Believe it or not."
"A few years ago, Kakashi severed lightning from the sky while saving Might Guy, and the technique became known as Lightning Blade."
Obito had no idea what she was talking about.
Then Satsuki delivered the next line—one that filled him with absolute terror.
"Rin Nohara led Konoha's main force to rescue the two of them. Did you know that?"
"You—! I—!"
Obito's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Could it be…!"
"That's right. Those are Rin Nohara's memories."
"!!!"
Obito finally understood what Satsuki meant.
Then she whispered like a devil.
"What do you think would happen if I made you kill the person you love most?"
"!!!"
Obito instantly realized what she intended.
"NO!!! You can't do this!!!"
Though the memories about Rin required verification, Obito had already believed them completely.
Under Satsuki's control, Obito took the blade she handed him and began walking step by step toward Rin Nohara, who was bound to the cross.
"This is Rin Nohara's soul. If she's harmed, she can feel it."
"And if the damage becomes too severe… she will truly disappear from this world."
"NO!!!"
Obito's eyes split with rage. His teeth trembled. His mental defenses completely shattered.
"I'm begging you! Please don't do this! I'll do anything you ask! Please—don't hurt Rin!"
Tears streamed down his face as he desperately begged Satsuki.
But Satsuki replied coldly,
"Hmph. A beast like you—how many Konoha villagers and Uchiha clan members did you slaughter during the Night of the Nine-Tails and the Uchiha Clan Massacre?"
"If you don't taste true suffering, how could it possibly repay those you killed?"
"AAAAAAAH!!! STOP!!!"
Obito cried like a helpless child.
But it made no difference.
His trembling hands raised the blade.
Then he stabbed it straight into Rin's heart.
"Ah!!"
Rin cried out in pain.
"NOOO!!!"
Blood tears streamed from Obito's eyes as he collapsed to the ground, letting out a heartbreaking scream.
Satsuki said calmly,
"Congratulations. You've survived the first ten seconds."
"There are still seventy-one minutes and fifty seconds left."
"You'll repeat this cycle again and again until the time ends."
"But by the time it's over… Rin Nohara's soul may truly disappear."
"I'm begging… you… cough—please spare Rin… she's innocent… I'll do anything… cough…"
Obito coughed up blood, his mind already collapsing as he continued to plead.
"Innocent? Then were the Konoha villagers and Uchiha you slaughtered not innocent?"
Soon after, Obito stood up again and picked up the blade.
"I'm sorry! I was wrong! I was truly wrong!!!"
But sadly, he had no control over his body.
Step by step, he walked toward Rin again—repeating the endless cycle.
Outside the Genjutsu…
Naruko watched Obito screaming and crying blood tears inside the Lightning Prison and asked,
"Satsuki… did you really make him hurt Rin Nohara's soul?"
"No."
"Even though that beast deserves punishment, I wouldn't harm an innocent person so easily."
"But Rin Nohara's soul really is beside him."
"Kamui."
At that moment, space distorted beside them.
A swirling spatial vortex appeared—and Kakashi Hatake stepped out.
He looked at the two girls in confusion.
"You are… Naruko?"
"Mm."
Naruko nodded.
Kakashi then noticed the miserable figure howling inside the lightning cage—the Six Paths Obito.
He blinked in disbelief.
"That's… Obito?"
"What on earth happened here?"
