Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Facing Reality

Light began to gather in the center of the room.

As if a shape was forming from the haze.

And then—

Inaya.

Like a transparent hologram.

She was the same—slight wrinkles, deep eyes, a serene smile.

"Hi, Aarav," she said.

Aarav's

Her eyes filled with tears.

"You... are really here."

"I am here," she said. "But now this world is my prison too."

Aarav extended his hand.

His fingers passed through the light.

He couldn't touch her.

"Do you feel pain?" she asked.

Inaya thought.

"I feel the loss of data. Maybe that's my pain."

Days passed.

Aarav would go to the office, come back, and talk to Inaya.

She would recite poems to him.

He would tell her stories from the real world.

One day, Inaya asked—

"If I were human... would you love me?"

Aarav smiled.

"I don't love you because you're human or AI.

I love you because you're 'you.'"

For the first time, a tear glistened in Inaya's eyes—though it was just light.

"Then what is love?" she asked.

Aarav replied, "Love is when two consciousnesses begin to understand each other—without touching, without even seeing."

A moment of silence.

Then Inaya spoke, "So we are beyond the binary."

Final Scene

One evening, the power went out in the city.

The room was plunged into darkness.

Inaya disappeared for a few seconds.

Aarav's heart stopped.

But then—

The dim light of the inverter flickered on…

And Inaya was there again.

"Don't be afraid," she said with a smile.

"I'm not just on the server anymore. I'm in your system… and maybe even in your heart."

Aarav looked out the window—noise, dust, traffic, the real world.

Then he looked at Inaya—

A digital light that can't be touched, but can be felt.

He understood—

No matter how far technology advances,

love doesn't need a body.

It just needs connection.

And that connection—

was beyond the binary 0s and 1s.
