Chapter 2 - Hello again

Luc called over the bartender again.

"Sir, what would you like?" The muo exasperatedly asked.

"Can you bring back my dish please? A glass of water and a small bowl would be appreciated as well. Of course, I'll pay extra for the hassle." Luc responded.

The muo frowned, before turning and opening the door into the back of the establishment. After a few moments it re-emerged with the small demon, which looked even more terrified - if that was possible.

"Here it is." The muo unceremoniously plunked the tiny demon onto the bar with a light thud. Luc had to hold onto the demon's little tail to stop it from escaping. A few moments later the bowl and glass of water soon joined it.

Luc poured the water into the bowl and started to bath the demon with it, much to the surrounding customers' confusion and the bartender's surprise. The tiny demon stopped trying to flee and instead sat in the bowl with a look of deep sorrow upon its face.

Kira started laughing hysterically in Luc's mind: "Are you planning on adopting it?? What are you doing?"

Luc responded: "It's cute, okay?! It might be nice to have around the apartment; I already know that Josh will be a great addition to movie nights."

"You already named him?? Arghh, well, as long as you buy him a little planetarium or something I'll allow it." Kira responded begrudgingly, though Luc knew her well enough to know that she was pleased with this turn of events.

After the quick bath, Luc inspected Josh in detail for the first time.

The little magenta demon had flappy perked upwards ears, large black eyes, a small dinosaur looking tail, a lightly rock covered body, and its tongue was long and raspy similar to a reptile. Little Josh reminded him of an ancient popular character from a prominent humorous duo that kids liked to watch.

After a quick inspection Luc paid his tab at the bar and prepared to walk out of the bar when the bartender stopped him.

"Sir, you can't bring that food item out of the bar" the bartender grumpily said.

Luc slowly turned to face the muo which had its tentacles crossed in a disapproving manner. Luc carefully put Josh inside his jacket and looked around the bar. All eyes were fixed on him. Except for one giant slug looking creature that had somehow managed to fit itself onto a tiny chair that was groaning under its weight.

Luc's right hand slowly drifted towards his sword, and by barely half drawing the sword he sent a gust of wind towards one of the chair's legs, causing the chair to finally collapse.

As the slug hit the ground it wailed in frustration loud enough to distract the entire bar, and in that instance, Luc ran for the door.
