Chapter 3: Our First Conversation
The days at school started to feel more interesting than before.
Before, I used to come to school just to attend classes and go back home. But now, something had changed.
Or maybe… someone had changed it.
That morning, I reached the classroom a little earlier than usual. When I entered, I saw her sitting quietly at her desk again.
She looked up and smiled when she saw me.
"Good morning," she said.
"Good morning," I replied, this time a little more confident.
For a few moments, we both stayed quiet. It felt a little awkward, but also strangely comfortable.
Then she suddenly asked, "So… do you always come this early to school?"
I smiled a little.
"Not really. I think today is special."
She looked curious. "Special? Why?"
I hesitated for a second and then said, "Because now I have someone to talk to."
She looked surprised for a moment, and then she softly laughed.
That was the first time I heard her laugh.
And honestly… it was one of the nicest sounds I had ever heard.
From that day, we started talking more. Small conversations between classes, little smiles, and sometimes even silly jokes.
I didn't realize when those simple talks started to become the best part of my day.
And slowly… she was becoming very important to me.
didn't know that tomorrow would change everything…
