Chapter 1 - Life without plot-armour

I am a simple man. And a simple man craves certainty.

Always have.

I played it safe. As safe as I could.

Always on the defensive.

Progress was slow but steady. Life was good.

Then an accident happened and I lost my life.

But it didn't end. I was born again.

A new life started. This time I played less defensive.

Naturally, progress was faster but risk was ever increasing.

Eventually I got greedy and life punished me appropriately. I lost an arm.

Progress stalled from there and eventually everything fell apart. I too died.

Then I came back. Same life, a reset.

A loop started. I could save a moment in time now and reload there to save time instead of resetting again.

But there are rules. The saves can only be in the past. Any save that disobeies the rule is erased.
