Chapter 3 - Chapter- 3

But even pissing, the glasses-wearing man did not forget to wave his sword everywhere, making Mark dodge, while from behind, the thug looking man rushed to kick him, who simply tilted his body aside, grabbed the thug looking man's leg, and shoved the arrow he was holding into his leg.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh..." The man cried as he jumped back, but Mark wasn't having it, as he grabbed him and threw him towards the sword-waving man, making the sword slash his hand.

But before the thug looking man could cry again, Mark came from behind, held his head in his hand, and snapped it at a 90-degree angle.

Thud!

The man fell to the ground dead, and seeing this, the glasses-wearing man was so afraid that, screaming he ran towards the forest, not caring about anything, when he heard a woosh sound behind him.

Jumping, he fell to the ground to protect himself, as he saw the knife flying and hitting the tree, striking it so hard that it made the entire knife quiver furiously.

Hurriedly, he tried to get up, when suddenly he felt a shadow towering over him, making him jump again.

But before he could fall this time, Mark kicked him hard on his butt, making the man sprawl all over.

As next, Mark held his hair and struck his face on the ground.

Thwack! Thwack!! Thwack!!! Thwack!!!! Thwack!!!!!

Thwack! Thwack!! Thwack!!! Thwack!!!! Thwack!!!!!

Again and again, he struck the man's face on the ground, while the glasses the man was wearing broke into pieces, and the lens got buried all over his open eyes, making him scream out loud in agony every time Mark struck his face.

Finally, Mark stood up when he felt it was time, and with all his might, he kicked the man's head, making his head splatter like a watermelon.

While the fourth ding rang in his head, which had started ringing the moment he had killed the obese man.

As he ignored the dings and all and went back to pick up both of the knives, the bow, and the quiver.

Putting the knives on his waist, bow on his shoulder, quiver on his back, he hurriedly made his way inside the forest, as he then jumped to grab the tall looking tree's branch and with a complete muscle up, he pulled himself up and again jumping from one branch to another, he went high enough to conceal himself inside the tree.

Frowning, he looked at the Bow, which was giving him trouble during his jumps and all, making him hesitate whether to throw it away or keep it with him.

Shaking his head, he chose to keep it to himself. Besides the pistol, he had no other long-distance weapon; he couldn't just throw such a great weapon because of a little inconvenience.

As subconsciously he looked towards the ground where he had caused the previous destruction, making him startled.

There he saw all four dead bodies slowly burning with red flame, until they turned into chunks of pieces, as if someone had cut them cleanly, and then the pieces disappeared as if they never existed.

Taking deep breaths, Mark tried to calm himself down as he finally let everything sink in.

The tragedy that struck him today, the murders he committed, the killings he just did, everything.

For a second, he wanted to brawl, to cry out loud, to scream his guts out, but somehow he controlled himself.

Right now wasn't the time for all this; right now he needed to get all the information regarding this place, kill everyone, and then look for his family.

The word family made him choke, as he felt intense shame filling him from top to bottom.

Not knowing how to face them, if he faced them.

After all, he did kill those innocent people, and right now he was doing all that again.

But the next second, he shook his head and slapped himself hard on his cheeks. He couldn't let himself become soft-hearted, especially at a place where killing was the only way to survive.

Finally, he looked at the notifications that had rang during the killings he had done.

[Killer gift activated, permanently stealing 0.1 Strength stat.]

[Killer gift activated, permanently stealing 0.1 Agility stat.]

[Killer gift activated, permanently stealing 0.1 Endurance stat.]

He understood what stealing permanently stat points and all meant, but he didn't understand what this Killer Gift was.

But remembering what the Butler had told him, or everyone, he spoke "Status Panel."

As a black, ominously looking panel came into his sight, while the red bloody words were imprinted all over it.

Mark looked at his status panel and felt somewhat overwhelmed. If what the status panel said about 10 being the average human male value, then his strength was nearly double.

But looking at the luck stat made him want to laugh bitterly. Was this the reason disaster befell him and destroyed his life?

As he shook his head, he looked at the Killer Talent, which was giving him the most ominous feeling.

And reading the gift's description and all, finally, Mark couldn't control himself as he started laughing like a maniac, while tears fell from his eyes uncontrollably.
