Chapter 13 - Chapter- 13

Blood poured out of Mark's face as he snapped open the tiger's mouth, whose fangs were still stuck on his face, and had even cracked some of his forehead bone.

His chin was pierced, his cheeks were pierced, and he was bleeding from everywhere on his face.

Even breathing was difficult, as slowly he saw the great black tiger burning on top of him.

Yes, on top of him.

The tiger's dead body still lay on top of him; he did not even had the energy to remove that, but nothing happened.

The fire burned the tiger, but no heat reached him, as he saw the fire burning and slowly obliterating the being that lived in the forest like a king.

The greatest adversary that he had faced since he came to the forest, and maybe the last adversary who would be this powerful, if he remained alive till then.

But instead of being cut into pieces like the meat of humans and other beings, the tiger's body began to gather together.

Slowly, it became smaller, smaller, and even smaller, until there existed nothing but a drop of blood.

The drop of blood shone so brightly that it literally lit the place with a red color where Mark was lying, but the next second it disappeared.

Mark knew where it had disappeared to, but he had no energy to examine the details of that thing. As with great difficulty, he raised his hands, and out of nowhere, two pieces of meat appeared on them.

Squeezing the meat tightly, Mark let the blood fall on his now opened mouth as he gently gulped down all the blood.

When he was done drinking all the blood that could come out of the meat, he stopped, and just as he was about to put back the meat, he saw the meat disappearing from his hand automatically, and two notifications rang in his brain.

[Cooked Fish eaten, permanently increasing 0.1 Agility stat]

[Cooked Fish eaten, permanently increasing 0.1 Vitality stat]

Hungrily for life, hurriedly Mark pulled more pieces of fish meat, as he let the blood pour in his mouth continuously, as he felt an itch all over his body.

His chest was burning, his sole was burning, his face was burning, but slowly and surely they were getting healed.

Only after he had drunk eight more cooked fishes blood, did he stop.

Not because he wanted to, but because he could not drink the blood anymore.

His senses were giving him a warning to stop, so he did. He barely knew anything about this world, but he knew one thing: when his instincts told him about something, then that thing was 100% certain.

As slowly, then he dragged his body towards the giant stone where still his blood was glistened on it.

Putting his back towards the stone, Mark made sure that he was protected from everywhere, except the shadow.

Cuz if another black tiger came, then he would just die, there was nothing else he could do in his current condition.

As finally, he opened his space and saw a drop of blood on the tenth box.

Compared to how the blood looked so majestic in reality, the drop of blood inside the space looked ordinary to the brim.

Instead of pulling the drop of blood out, he chose to look at the stat of the blood through the space.

[Ratrijita]

Introduction: This is a bloodline belonging to a very powerful race. Absorbing it, one can transform into that race.

Stunned, Mark looked at the introduction. He understood the transforming part, but where was the part where it explained whether he would be able to turn back into a human or not?

What about the bloodline's stats and all? What about its demerits and all?

This introduction was half-assed, providing close to no information, but his instincts were screaming at him to devour that blood drop.

The moment he had seen the blood drop appearing, lighting his surroundings, his very essence screamed at him to gobble down the drop of blood at any cost.

As if his killer gift wanted to tear his body apart to come out to devour this blood, but he was resistant to all this.

He had no idea what were the drawbacks and whether he could turn back to human or not.

It's not that he liked humanity or any sort after what happened to him. It was that what if, after he turned into this being, the man in the sky asked him to slaughter a thousand darkness creatures instead of a thousand humans, what then?

Killing humans was easier, but these creatures, even if he turned into one of them, he didn't think he would be able to slaughter thousands of them, or whatever the lesser number was.

When suddenly, a ding rang in his brain.

[A bloodline is a part and right of every creature. After assimilating the bloodline, one does not change the race, but simply becomes part of both.]

[This is a battleground for humans; only hunting humans is allowed. Assimilating the bloodline won't change this fact.]

Stunned, Mark read everything. He did not think that his queries would be answered, especially the one he thought in his mind.

No, it was better to say that this system, or whatever this was, answered every question as long as one asked it.

Previously, he had cried where the meat was disappearing to, and suddenly, the space came in front of him to give him the answer.

This time, he thought of the demerits regarding the bloodline and transformation, and answers again came in front of him.

Or maybe there was a rule or setting that he was subconsciously using but had no idea about.

Not caring and finally getting his answers, hurriedly Mark pulled the drop of blood out and shoved it in his mouth.

Like butter, the blood melted in his mouth, automatically going down his throat, as suddenly the warm feeling started to surround Mark's body.

It was so warm that it made Mark sigh in relief, but slowly and steadily, this warm feeling started to rise in temperature.

From the warmth it turned into fiery, from fiery it turned into infernal, and from infernal it turned into magmatic.

As Mark's entire body turned bloody red, and smoke started to rise from it.
