Chapter 8 - Fear | 03.06.2020

What is fear?

Voices screaming inside

Your mind until you are

Nothing but an empty,

Broken shell.

Past words reflecting

Those voices until

All of them chorus

Together and turn

Into one single boom.

A candle lit aflame

In the vast shadows,

Darkened from the

Cracked window

Panes of reality.

Breaking out of

Vacant prisms made

Of wallowing figures

That drag you back

Like a dead weight

Because they are

Drifting in loneliness.

An endless sea or

Void that appears

To be a small hole,

But has no stairs

Unless you build a

Ladder using bare

Scraping fingers.

A mindless object or

Place that is never

Ending and unrelenting

Because it is bottomless,

Like a rusted cage with

Some hefty ideas that

Lure in droplets that are

Blind and deaf to the

Sharp tipped hook.

An inescapable emotion

That leads to dim paths

Of foolery and mistrust

That will never stop unless

The creator of it turns and

Becomes the destroyer to

Make all of everything

End.

That merciless being

Who helps minds

Grow stronger from

Weakness and gain

Wisdom to carry

Alongside journal entries

That are well worn out

But always traveling.

What is fear, again?

Too many definitions.
