Chapter 1 - Rebirth

In a dark alley a man with tattered clothes and black medium length hair laid. His name was ###. A few minutes ago he had just been robbed. But the robbers had been too tough and did more damage than the young man could handle. There were not many wounds on his body but his tattered clothes told stories.

"Ugh, where am I," he groaned, opening his eyes.

He looked around confused.

"Wasnt i at home watching anime? What's happen- Agh!?" he suddenly roared as pain like he never felt before bombarded his brain. He gripped his head, his eyes bloodshot.

Memories poured into his mind. With the pain came the shock at what he was seeing through the memories. He was no longer the person from his past life. He was now in the body of another person. He was Julius with no last name. An abandoned child of the Apollo Familia.

Julius was alone at birth, abandoned by his parents and mistreated by the matrons of the orphanage he had sent to he had never learned to probably love. The same experience as the one currently in this body.

After reaching the age of 14 he was forced out of the orphanage and began looking for a place to survive. Learning of the adventurers he decided to join a familia. And he just so happened to be lucky since a god was mass recruiting, but the god was none other than Apollo.

After being accepted into the Apollo Familia he had trained hard to gain recognition but an accident occurred. In one of the dungeon raids he jumped in front of a newbie to protect him and was severely injured. His left arm was mangled and completely unusable.

Apollo learned of his situation but instead of comforting the child of his Familia he abandoned Julius. His Falna was sealed and he was unable to progress. Not only that he was forbidden to find another god for a whole year.

To survive he became a Porter but life was cruel. All the adventurers he had worked with were cruel. They all treated him like an animal. Julius could do nothing but endure, it was the only way he could survive he had no other choice.

And finally on the day the one year was over and he could finally search for a god he died. By none other than robbers. Julius let go of his aching head, sweat dripping down his head.

"Our lives are quite similar," he muttered.

But as he said this he became troubled. In his last life he was just a normal person, not even an otaku. He was just starting his anime journey and was watching One Piece. He was barely on the marineford arc and he was suddenly in an anime world.

He didn't know much about this anime but he had seen some clips. If he remembered correctly this was called "Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon" or "danmachi" for short. He was actually going to watch it after his friend told him about it but he never got to it since he wanted to catch up on one piece.

But now that he was in this world he decided to do what's needed to survive. From the information he got from the original body's memory he could understand most of the things in this world.

And it just so happened that the one year rule was finally up and he could look for a Familia, but he knew it would be quite difficult since people that have been abandoned by their gods are given bad labels and other gods don't really have good impressions of them.

But just as he stood up something appeared in his vision. It was three blue windows like those rpg games he had played.

-You are level one please choose your skill-

Observation Haki: Grants a sixth sense that lets you sense someone's moves, emotions, and even strength. Upon reaching a certain level one can see a glimpse of the future. (Once Piece)

Flame Breathing: Breathing style/Sword style with 9 forms. Mastering the breathing technique can let one fight until their body runs out of nutrients. (Demon Slayer)

Shadow Possession: The User can control their shadow to connect to another's shadow. This gives the user the ability to make the person follow the user's movement. (Naruto)

He was confused but he quickly realised if what he was seeing was true then this would be extremely useful. The three skills were all amazing but with his unusable left arm he left out the shadow possession. With only one arm he didn't know how he would be able to control an entire person's body.

Observation Haki was great if he wanted to avoid attacks but as of now he needed a powerful skill. One that would let him attack. In the end Flame Breathing was the best choice not only for its power but also its versatility.

He chose Flame breathing and information on how to use the styles and breathing entered his mind. Seeing how powerful it was he became excited and wanted to try it out. But not right now, he needed to join a Familia first.

With that in mind he left the alley and walked the streets of Orario. With what he knew about the gods he knew the best chance to join a family was to either find a newly descended god or an extremely kind one.

That in itself is a difficult matter. There are multiple kind gods, but even they would be wary of those that have been abandoned by another god. And nowadays, finding a newly descending god is like asking to reach level 6 in the first year after becoming an adventurer.

But he had hope. He just needed to ask the guild for information. If there were newly descended gods he had a higher chance. If there wasn't then he just needed to find a god that was willing to accept him into their Familia. Even if that in itself was difficult he didn't mind.

His whole life he had fought to survive, it wouldn't stop now that he had become Julius. After walking for a while he became a little hungry. Rummaging through his pocket he pulled some valis. Staring at the meager funds in his hands he pursed his lips.

When was the last time he had been so helpless. In his last life he had managed to reach a point where he didn't need to worry about food nor housing anymore. But now he didn't have a home and the valis in his hands would last him only a meal or two. It seems I need to speeden up my plans.

He clenched his fist and put the valis back into his pocket and continued walking but suddenly stopped when he saw two people in front of him. One was a curvy twin tailed curvy woman and the other was a white haired girl around his age.

"Hey, I am goddess Hestia. Do you want to join my familia?" she asked.

The white haired girl's eyes widened in surprise.

"R-really?" the girl asked.

Hestia nodded. She was a newly descended god and had no one in her Familia so she had been going around asking random people to join her family. She didn't have much confidence since people tended to be resistant to joining newly descended gods.

"Of course, I always keep my words," she said, raising her chin in smugness.

Hearing this the white haired girl brightened and with a smile she spoke.

"I am Bell Cranel, I would love to join your Familia." she said.

Her words made Hestia excited. It's been so long since she had descended to the mortal realm and finally she had a child in her familia. But from the corner of her eyes she saw another person staring at them. She blinked a few times then feeling emboldened by the previous success she walked up to Julius.

"Cough cough, Would you like to join my Familia?" she asked.

Julius stood there a little surprised. It seemed he was not so unlucky. He bowed slightly.

"It would be my honor, lady hestia," he said.

She inwardly cheered. Two in one, she thought with excitement.

"What should I call you?" she asked, coming back to her senses.

"My name is Julius," he answered curtly.

She nodded hearing the name "julius, bell. Let's go," she said.

As they followed the goddess Julius could feel Bell taking multiple glances at him. From what he could see, Bell was a shy girl. Her red eyes were quite unique and her white hair made her look like a rabbit. Along the way Hestia asked many others to join her Familia but was ultimately rejected.

The mood seemed to shift as she became gloomy. She grabbed Bell and began rubbing her face against hers.

"L-lady hestia," Bell muttered embarrassingly as hestia placed her head unto her chest.

"Bell, you are my first child so you have to help me get more people to join my family," she said, hugging her tightly.

As Julius watched their interaction he was glad that it was bell and not him since Hestia was too of an optimistic person. Julius tended to like his personal space and didn't want to be held like that. Hestia, remembering Julius rushed towards him and was about to hug him but he dodged and held her by the back of her shirt before she could fall.

She tried to struggle but it was to no avail.

"Lady Hestia, please be careful," he said slowly, putting her down.

Putting her back on her feet Julius sighed. Hestia pouted seeing his reaction. But then again with a glint in her eyes she rushed at him and then jumped and attempted to grab him but again he dodged.

She landed on her feet and turned around and again tried to rush at him but this time he put his hand up at her face and stopped her from continuing. Her hands flailed as she kept trying to grab him.

Bell, seeing this, didn't know what to do and just stood there quietly. After a whole Hestia grew tired and stopped.

"Alright, let's just go home," she said and began to lead the two back to her residence.
