"I'd have loved to help madam, but there is nothing I can do if the money isn't deposited." The doctor said not minding if she was crying or not.
"I promise, I'll pay doctor. I just need a little time." She pleaded.
"I'm afraid there isn't much time madam, I'll advise you to gather the money immediately." The doctor concluded and left, It was like the only option left for her was to agree to Chris demands.
She brought out her phone from her purse with shaky hands and dialed Chris number. It didn't take long for him to pick.
"Hello? Catherine?" His voice came on the other hand.
"It's me, I'll marry you. Just come down quickly to the hospital and pay the bills." She said with shaky voice and tears streaming down her cheek.
"Good choice, I knew you were smart enough. I'm on my way already, give me five minutes my darling."
She hung up immediately, and covered her mouth with her hands, trying to suppress her sobs.
She had just broken her vows and promises to Shawn and was about starting a new one with Chris.

"Mom, would you come to watch me play at school?" Shawn asked excitedly in his small cute voice.
"I wish I could dear but...."
"She's going to come Shawn." Chris quickly cut in, and a smile formed on little Shawn's face.
He quickly hugged him, "Thank you daddy, but are you sure she'll come?" He asked looking at his mom's unhappy face.
"I said so son. Now go on, you'll be late for school if you don't leave now."
"Thank you daddy, bye mom." Shawn waved happily and ran to the car, his driver opened the door for him and closed it immediately. He entered and the car drove off.
"What was that all about Chris?" Catherine asked immediately the car drove out of the compound.
"Didn't you see the smile on his face? He looks happy and besides, I won't be around for a week that means you have to go." Chris replied and walked inside.
Catherine followed him. "I don't feel well Chris!" She snapped at him.
"You look fine! I said you're going and you are, okay?"
He didn't get a response but didn't bother, it wasn't the first time she ignored him, he took his keys and dashed out.
