Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: You Dare Do This in Front of Me?

"Yunran, bring me Chen Fan's phone."

Su Yun's voice was calm, steady, and emotionless, yet there was something in the way he spoke that made those nearby instinctively fall silent.

A moment later, a woman stepped out from the crowd. She wore a simple white t-shirt that hugged her curves in all the right ways, her figure voluptuous and flawless. Her face was breathtaking, not in a delicate or fragile way, but with a seductive beauty that seemed to stir something primal in anyone who looked too long.

She walked toward Su Yun with respectful steps and handed the phone to him with both hands.

"Young Master, the matter below has been settled. No one will discover a single trace," she said softly, her tone unwavering.

This woman was Yunran, a personal attendant raised by Su Yun's mother, Qin Junhua. From childhood, she had been trained, conditioned, and loyal to Su Yun in every way. Her body, her mind, her soul—everything about her had been shaped to serve him.

She was also born with the Heavenly Enchantress Physique, one of the rarest and most powerful physiques in the cultivation world. Qin Junhua spared no cost in developing her, pouring resources into her body so she could become her son's personal bodyguard.

Being ten years older than Su Yun, her cultivation stood far above his current realm. She was strong enough to protect him from nearly anything.

Even in the Imperial Capital, where countless monsters hid in plain sight, only a few aged Saint Realm experts from powerful clans could match her strength. With someone like her always at his side, it should have been impossible for Su Yun to fall into danger.

But the original Su Yun was pathetic. Obsessed with Liu Ting to the point of madness, he cared more about her feelings than his own safety. Terrified that Liu Ting might misunderstand if she ever saw him with another woman, he forced Yunran to protect him from a distance.

He even went so far as to forbid her from following him openly and ordered her never to report anything to Qin Junhua.

Ye Ling and Liu Ting used this stupidity against him. With Su Yun's guard pushed away, the two schemed together, murdered him, and made sure all the blame pointed right back at him.

If Su Yun had kept Yunran close, even with all of Ye Ling's heaven-defying luck and Liu Ting's hidden support, there was no way they could have killed him. They wouldn't have been able to scratch him, much less take his life.

Su Yun took the phone, but his eyes never glanced at the screen. Instead, he lifted his hand and gently cupped Yunran's delicate cheek. His fingers brushed across her flawless skin with a slow, gentle rhythm. His voice was soft, lower than usual, and carried a warmth that struck straight into her heart.

"Ran'er... Thank you. You've suffered for me all these years."

In the original story, Yunran was one of the few who never doubted Su Yun. She had been completely loyal, and she was the only one who suspected Liu Ting orchestrated his death. She tried over and over to convince Qin Junhua to investigate, but without hard evidence, her warnings were dismissed.

Qin Junhua trusted Liu Ting too deeply and even forbade Yunran from confronting her.

So Yunran began planning revenge in secret. Eventually, her intentions were discovered by Ye Ling. She was killed before she could do anything.

She was a woman who gave everything to Su Yun—her heart, her strength, her loyalty. And what did she get in return? Cold indifference. She was strong, beautiful, and utterly devoted. She would have been a pillar of his power and his future, someone who would have followed him through fire. There wasn't a single downside to keeping her close.

More importantly, she was the perfect companion for cultivation. With her Heavenly Enchantress Physique, she had been handpicked by Qin Junhua as the ideal dual cultivation partner.

But Su Yun, in his delusion, had never even touched her. Not even once. Until the day she died, Yunran remained untouched.

Su Yun could barely understand how such a brainless fool ever existed. For the sake of Liu Ting—a woman who used him, humiliated him, and ultimately betrayed him—he tossed away a woman like Yunran and chose to grovel like a dog.

Maybe he truly was a masochist. Maybe he found pleasure in the pain she gave him.

Yunran stood frozen in place.

She looked up at Su Yun, wide-eyed, unable to comprehend what she was feeling. The warmth of his palm on her face, the gentleness in his touch, it all felt so foreign—so impossible—that her mind went blank. Her heart trembled.

Since childhood, she had been told that her body, her life, her future—everything—belonged to Su Yun. He was her master. Her god.

But because of the natural allure that came with her physique, Su Yun always kept his distance. He feared Liu Ting would misunderstand, so he pushed Yunran away, as if she were some threat instead of a shield.

"Young Master, this..." Her voice trembled. Tears filled her eyes, but she held them back with all her strength, refusing to cry in front of Liu Ting.

Ever since Su Yun met Liu Ting, everything changed. His warmth turned to ice. His words, once soft, became cold commands. He ignored her completely, even asked Qin Junhua to replace her more than once.

She carried all that pain in silence, never understanding what she had done wrong. And now, all of a sudden, he was looking at her again.

The students watching from a distance were stunned. None of them had known Su Yun kept a woman like this beside him. And in terms of beauty, she wasn't any less than Liu Ting. If anything, her presence was even more striking.

Compared to Liu Ting's youthful inexperience, this woman's charm was mature, sensual, overwhelming.

But wasn't Su Yun supposed to be obsessed with Liu Ting?

He turned down more girls than they could count—noble daughters, academy goddesses, beauties from every corner of the capital. All for Liu Ting.

And now, in front of her, he touched another woman's face with that kind of tenderness?

What did he mean by that?

Even Liu Ting was stunned. Her lips parted slightly, unable to speak.

For some reason, her heart clenched. The feeling was sharp and uncomfortable, like a thorn driven under her skin.

It was like watching a dog she never wanted—but had grown used to—suddenly wag its tail at someone else.

Even if she didn't like Su Yun, he wasn't allowed to like anyone else. Even if she never wanted him, he had to keep wanting her.

Just then, Su Yun seemed to sense her emotion. The corner of his mouth curved into a faint smile, and his voice turned low and strangely bewitching.

"Ran'er, from now on, walk beside me openly. Don't hide anymore."

"Young Master, are you serious?" Her breath caught in her throat. The joy struck so fast, so suddenly, it felt unreal.

"You don't want to?"

"I do. I want to. Yunran wants nothing more." Tears spilled from her eyes, hot and silent. "You are my sky, my everything. If I live, I'm yours. If I die, I'll be your ghost. I'll follow you forever."

Looking at the man in front of her, she felt her heart surge with overwhelming emotion. She wanted to give him everything—her strength, her life, her soul.

[System Prompt]:Host has successfully conquered Yunran's heart

[Charisma]:400

[Talent]:Revered by Heaven and Earth

[Effect]:Cultivation speed increased threefold

It must be because I altered the original's fate and claimed Yunran's love — something he was never meant to have.

A smile rose at the corner of his lips.

This was the power of influence. Maybe it was the added Charisma, maybe not—but now, a single sentence could win someone over completely.

Of course, it helped that Yunran already worshiped him so it only took a few honest words for him to win her over.

"Don't cry anymore," Su Yun said softly, wiping the tears from her face.

"Ran'er is just... too happy," she whispered, cheeks burning.

For some reason, he looked even more handsome now. The air around him felt different. His voice, his eyes, even the way he touched her—all of it made her heart flutter.

He was perfect.

Smack!

Suddenly, his hand was slapped aside.

Liu Ting stood beside them, her eyes burning with fury. She glared at Su Yun, her voice shrill and shaking. "I knew it. You were the one who took Chen Fan. Let him go right now, or—"

No one knew if she was truly angry about Chen Fan...

Or furious that Su Yun dared to touch another woman in front of her.
