Chapter 11 - 11

I found Dursley on a bench almost opposite number 12.

"Harry, are you all right? Where have you been? I didn't even notice you were gone." That was understandable, considering the amount of protection cast on the house.

"Everything's fine, Auntie, can we go home or stay out a bit longer?

We walked around the park for about an hour, then returned to the car and drove home. A difficult conversation awaited us. I won't go into all the details, but I spent several hours trying to convince my aunt and uncle to leave their house for their own safety. Of course, they weren't that important to me, but it was still worth protecting them, even if they were only relatives. In the end, I managed to explain to them that staying there was dangerous not only for them, but also for Dudley. When they finally agreed, it was time to choose a place. I suggested France (it's not for nothing that most fanfics have everyone fleeing there) and America (as a fairly remote place). I also said that I would give them money to get started so that my uncle could restart his business or they could find work.

"Kreacher.

"Did you call me, young master? – interesting, he can hear me when I'm in the Dursleys' house.

"Yes, I did. How did you hear me?

"It's a special ability we have. We can choose living beings and sense if they need us anywhere.

"An interesting ability, but I called you for another reason. Can you find out from your mistress if Dumbledore will be able to find my relatives if they leave?

"It will be done.

Ten minutes later, he reappeared.

"My mistress says there are rituals to find them, but she can help with that. Next Saturday, you must come to our house again with your whole family. It's a safe place and no one will know about the ritual.

"Great, tell her I'm very grateful.

The week passed in a flurry of packing, buying new things, and gathering the necessary documents. And I prayed that Dumbly wouldn't find out about my plans. Speaking of him, or rather his spies. I periodically tried to see what our neighbour Mrs. Figg was doing, and her cats helped me with that. Once I saw one of these "cats," took some milk and a saucer and went to her, or rather to him. It turned out to be Mr. Paw.

"Hello.

Do you understand me, little one?"

"Of course.

"Strange-meow.

"Do you want some milk?

"Yes, please."

I poured milk into a saucer and waited for him to finish. I even had to add more a couple of times.

"What do you want from me, little one?"

"Well, actually, I wanted to know about your mistress.

"Shhh... she's not our owner, we're forced to live with her, a bearded wizard did something to us, and we can't leave...

"Oh, well, let's see.

I felt the same thing I felt with my aunt and uncle, but I didn't do anything.

"Mr. Paw, I know what's going on with you and I can help, but I won't do anything yet. First, my relatives have to leave, which will be in a few weeks.

"You really can help?" he asked, squinting at me.

"Of course.

...Mission received: 'Save Private Paw'...

"Rescue Private Lapka"

Save the cute half-breeds.

Reward:

Relationship with all cats will rise to the maximum level.

Refusal/Failure:

You will never be able to repair your relationship with cats.

Well, I think I can handle that.

"Tell me, Mr. Paw, how often does that bearded wizard visit you?

"No, he's only been here twice.

"Does Mrs. Figg ever contact him?

"Yes, every few months she throws some powder into the fireplace and talks to him about you."I thought so. Do you tell her anything?

"Yes, but we have no choice, and we were told to only talk to her if she asks, but she hasn't done that in a long time.

"That's good. Tell me, do you have somewhere to go if I free you?

"Nowhere, but we'll go to some forest.

"All right, Mr. Paw, I think in a week or two I'll call you and rescue you. Have one of your people watch my yard so they know when I call.

"All right, kid. And he jumped onto the fence and disappeared.

Well, what can I say, knights must be saved no matter what.

And so Saturday came, and we all went to Grimm 12.

"Good morning, Lady Walpurga.

"Good morning, Harry. Are these your relatives?" she asked, glancing at the Dursleys.

"Yes, I understand you have a way to protect them?

"Yes, we'll perform a ritual to banish them from the family, and we'll also make sure that their blood and other things that Dumbledore could take from them no longer work.

"Exile from the family? Isn't that dangerous?

"It's not dangerous for Muggles and Squibs, and besides, if a wizard ever appears in their family, they will be completely pure and free of any family curses.

"Wonderful, what should we do now?

"You don't need to do anything, we'll go down to the ritual hall, and also," she turned to the Dursleys, "I'll have to erase your memories of the ritual and everything that happened in this house.

"If it's necessary, we agree.

"Follow me.

A couple of hours later, as I was sitting in the living room, Walpurga arrived.

"Everything went well. Kreacher has moved them to the guest room, where they are resting. In a couple of hours, they will wake up, and I will erase their memories and send you home.

"Wonderful. Tell me, any progress with the Sirius case?

"I hired the right people, and you were right, they found the rat and stole it from those blood traitors. There wasn't even any protection at the house. The mercenaries just waited in the yard for the children, cast a couple of spells, and the rat was theirs. The children think it ran away.

"And what about the rat?

"Well, the rat is now more like Pettigrew. He's sitting in one of the basement cells, waiting for his fate. I performed all the necessary rituals, no one will find him. The lawyers have quietly begun to investigate the case, bribing the right people, but very carefully.

"Since this problem is practically solved, I would like to move in with you next week.

"No problem, I'll be forever grateful to you for what you've done.

"And there's something else. Is there any way to quietly put Squirrel to sleep or make her ignore the Dursleys' house for a while?

"Of course there is. Kreacher.

"Yes, ma'am?" came the voice after a clap.

"Bring me my trunk with my potions.

A minute later, Kreacher appeared, holding a small chest. Walpurga opened the lid, took out a glass jar and handed it to me.

"This is a potion. Just pour it somewhere near the squib and he'll fall asleep for a day.

"Excellent. I also wanted to ask if there is a safe way for me to contact my relatives when they leave, just in case?

"Hmm, judging by everything, your aunt is a Squib, and so is her son. I can offer you a regular notebook with Protean charms. They'll be able to use it." She took a couple of notebooks from the neighbouring table and handed them to me.

"That's perfect, thank you very much.
