Chapter 2 - Chapter:2 The Awakening and the Hunter's Game

The battlefield was silent.

Only mocking the laughter of the Asura Commander. He stood over Prince Kaizen, the tip of his dark, jagged sword pressed firmly against the Prince's forehead.

"So," the Commander sneered, his eyes scanning Kaizen's skin. "The legends spoke of a terrifying 'Third Eye' that would bring the end of the Asura race.

He leaned in closer, his breath cold.

But looking at you now, you look like nothing more than a frightened human boy. Where is this eye? I see nothing but weakness."

The Asura soldiers around them began to laugh, their guttural voices echoing through the ruined kingdom. Kaizen's blood boiled. The humiliation and the sight of his suffering people triggered a rage deep within his soul.

He gritted his teeth and tightly closed his two eyes.

The Radiance of the Third Eye

Suddenly, the laughter stopped.

BHOOM!

A blinding white light exploded from Kaizen's forehead. It wasn't just light; it was a divine radiance so powerful that the Asuras had to cover their eyes.

"My eyes! It burns!" screamed one soldier.

"Is this the sun? No, it is brighter than the sun!" another yelled in terror.

The Asura Commander gasped. He felt a force so immense that his heavy boots slid back across the dirt. In an instant, the sword he held against Kaizen's head began to vibrate violently.

CRACK!

With a deafening crack, the blade shattered into a thousand tiny shards.

The Commander stood frozen. A single drop of blood trickled down his cheek—not from a wound, but from the sheer pressure of the energy.

As the light reached its peak, a massive, ethereal White Soul Hand manifested from the energy. With one swift sweep, the hand swatted away the surrounding Asura soldiers like they were mere insects, sending them flying into the distance.

"So... this is it," the Commander whispered, his face pale with shock. "The power of the Third Eye. The power of the Asura Slayer."

But as quickly as it had appeared, the light faded.

The Third Eye closed, vanishing back into Kaizen's skin. Kaizen opened his regular eyes, looking around in total confusion. He saw bodies scattered and his enemies in retreat, but he remembered nothing. To him, it felt like a gap in time.

The Bounty and the Betrayal

The Commander, realizing the Third Eye was no longer active, regained his composure. He looked at his fallen men and then back at Kaizen with a wicked grin.

"Listen to me, Asura warriors!" the Commander shouted. "I know you all want his head. Our Great King, the Asura Slayer, has placed an unimaginable bounty on this boy".

"Whoever kills Prince Kaizen will be granted any wish they desire and a life of luxury in the Slayer's Point!"

The surviving Asuras, driven by greed, forgot their fear. They gripped their weapons, eyes glowing with malice.

"I will take his head!"

"No, he dies by my hand!" another roared.

Kaizen stood in the center of the circle, breathing hard. He looked at his people. They were watching him with a mix of hope and terror. His father, the King, cried out his name in a voice full of agony.

"Kaizen! Run!"

But Kaizen couldn't run. He felt a strange exhaustion.

The Commander noticed this and laughed. "I see your weakness now, Prince. Your Third Eye is a defensive miracle, but it drains you. And more importantly—you cannot control it yet. You didn't even know what happened, did you?"

The Seven Zones Challenge

The Commander stepped forward, stopping his soldiers with a wave of his hand.

"Killing you here is too easy," the Commander said, his voice dropping to a manipulative tone. "You are meant to be our greatest enemy. If I kill you while you are unconscious of your own power, it's boring. Let's play a game. A Survival Game."

Kaizen stared at him, confused. "What are you talking about?"

"Tomorrow, you must leave this kingdom," the Commander declared. "To reach the Asura Slayer and save your people, you must cross the Seven Zones. These lands are filled with the most horrific forests, cursed villages, treacherous mountains, and blood-soaked seas.

He smirked. "Every monster and every bounty hunter in this world will be looking for you".

because of the price on your head."

Kaizen's heart sank. He knew he wasn't strong enough to face the entire world alone.

"You have two choices, Kaizen," the Commander continued, circling him like a predator.

"One: die here today, and I will slaughter every person in this kingdom right now.

Two: accept my challenge. Attempt to cross the Seven Zones.

" If you survive and reach the Slayer Point, you get your revenge. But I promise you, you will die a thousand deaths before you reach the first gate."

The Prince's Decision

Kaizen looked at the faces of his people—the children, the elderly, and his broken father. He knew that if he stayed, they would all die.

"I accept," Kaizen said, his voice trembling but firm. "I will cross your zones. I will survive. And I will bring an end to the Asuras who destroyed my home."

The Commander burst into laughter. "So brave! But remember, Kaizen, this isn't a heroic quest. To us, you are just a pawn in a game. You are the prey, and the whole world is the hunter."

One of the Asura lieutenants whispered to the Commander, "Chief, the King ordered us to kill him. If he finds out you let the boy go to play a game, he will destroy us!"

The Commander's expression turned cold. "Silence. By the time he crosses the first zone, he will be so broken that he will beg for death. Now..."

He turned back to Kaizen with a sudden, terrifying shift in energy. "The game hasn't started yet. Soldiers! Attack him now!"

The Escape

The people screamed in horror. Kaizen gasped. "But you said—!"

"I said the challenge starts tomorrow!" the Commander yelled. "Right now, I need to make sure you are 'motivated' to run.

And since your Third Eye only activates when you are in shock, let's see if you can survive this without it!"

With those final words.the Commander began to dissolve into a cloud of black soul energy, vanishing into the air.

"If you survive the night, Kaizen, I will see you in the Seven Zones. Don't disappoint me!"

As the Commander disappeared, the Asura horde charged. Kaizen stood alone, his greatest power hidden deep within him, and a sea of enemies closing in. The betrayal was complete, and the survival game had begun.

Will Kaizen's Third Eye wake up in time to save him? Or will the Prince of a fallen kingdom fall before he even reaches the first zone?
