The affair with Zhao Tianyu caused an uproar on the Jinling University forums for three whole days.
On the first day, the university's main forum pinned Zhao Tianyu's public letter of apology to the top.
It was a rambling letter of over a thousand words, admitting that he had fabricated facts to slander Jiang Silu, that he had secretly taken her photo for the "Confessions Wall," paid for her contact information, and instructed his friends to post defamatory rumors.
You could tell from the writing style that he hadn't written it himself, but his name was at the bottom, and his red thumbprint was stamped perfectly in place.
The post blew up.
Some celebrated, others were sarcastic, but most were just shocked.
Comments popped up one after another, refreshing so fast it was impossible to keep up.
"Holy shit, so he made up all those posts?"
"Is this guy sick? If you can't have her, you destroy her?"
