Jiang Sifan stood up, his voice tinged with surprise. "What are you doing here?"
Lu Fan walked in and glanced at their clasped hands. The corner of his mouth twitched upward, but he said nothing and sat down in a nearby chair.
"I came to see you two." He looked at Wen Wan, his gaze gentle. "Wen Wan, I know about the situation with your mother."
The color drained from Wen Wan's face.
Jiang Sifan grew tense as well. He looked at Lu Fan, his lips parting, unsure of what to say.
Lu Fan looked at them, his tone calm, as if speaking of something that had happened long ago. "Don't be nervous. The matter has been resolved."
Wen Wan was stunned, her eyes widening slightly. "Re… Resolved?"
Lu Fan nodded, leaning back in his chair and folding his hands in his lap.
"I had someone find your mother and have a talk with her. She won't force you to go on those blind dates anymore."
Tears instantly welled up in Wen Wan's eyes.
