"Well, goodbye for now, Colin and Ale," Sela said with a smile. "May I call you Ale, Miss Orellion?"
"Of course," Ale nodded.
"Goodbye then, you two." After saying this with a smile, Sela turned to look them over carefully one last time, then spun around and ran toward the city gates.
Colin and Ale were left standing in the middle of the road.
Silence fell between them again.
Just as Colin was trying to think of something to say, a squad clad in Plate Armor approached from directly ahead.
The squad marched in perfect formation, their steps synchronized. They looked like a ceremonial guard unit that had undergone rigorous training. It made them stand out on the road; compared to them, the surrounding soldiers looked like a disorganized rabble.
Colin looked closer and saw that they were, in fact, Elves.
