Bai Zhi seemed to remember something and quickly pulled out of his embrace, patting him all over. "You're not hurt, are you?"
Her touch sent an inappropriate stir through Lang Qiu's body. His eyes darkened, and he answered hoarsely, "I'm not."
To keep her from noticing his condition, Lang Qiu asked, "Why are you down here so late? Couldn't you sleep?"
Bai Zhi answered honestly, "I was a little thirsty and came down for some water."
Lang Qiu led her to the sofa to sit down, then went to pour a glass of water and handed it to her.
After she finished her water, Lang Qiu swept her into his arms and carried her upstairs.
After bringing her back to her room, he didn't leave right away. Lang Qiu took a box out of his space and handed it to Bai Zhi. "This is for you."
Bai Zhi stared at the box, stunned for a moment. "What is this?"
