Feng He shook his head. "I don't know either, but it should take ten to fifteen days."
"And that's the fastest it can be."
Meng Shili found the timeframe acceptable.
He nodded in understanding. "I'll be counting on you, then."
Feng He nodded. "Of course."
After a bit more conversation, the group left the lab building, the tension finally starting to ease.
Early the next morning, Lin Jingjing dragged herself out of bed.
She glanced at the time. It was only seven in the morning, and the sky outside had yet to fully brighten.
But today was an important day. So, instead of lingering for a minute or two as she usually would, Lin Jingjing threw back the covers and headed straight for the bathroom to wash up.
After changing into her black combat suit, Lin Jingjing stared at her reflection. Her hair hung loosely over her shoulders, and she had deep, dark circles under her eyes.
It was obvious she hadn't been sleeping well lately.
