Shadows flickered around the wide open space, dancing through the dim morning. A single candle sat lit next to a long table filled with scattered books and papers with handwritten notes. Silence filled the air. The library was empty save for a single blue-haired elf, sleeping with her head resting on her arms. A large, hand-drawn map of the kingdom sat on the table behind her.
The door to the library creaked open, a maid peeking into the room and spotted Aurora sleeping soundly. The clicking of shoes against the tiles broke the silence, stopping right behind Aurora.
Suesie glared down at the sleeping girl. You fool. I told you to sleep in your room. Her eyes locked onto the map, several circled locations had notes scribbled next to them. Just what are you impatiently searching for? Only ruins of a bygone era exist there.
Suesie stepped behind Aurora, placing her hand on her shoulder and giving it a gentle shake. "Miss Aurora. You need to wake up, or you will miss breakfast."
