I crossed my arms tight over my chest, my face scrunched up into a deep frown. I was so out of sorts right now, this close to punching the guy sitting next to me behind the wheel.
"So stop frowning. There's nothing you can do about it anyway," he added casually, which only made me even more annoyed. I whipped my head around to glare at him.
"Why you of all people?!" I huffed, sounding just like a sulky kid throwing a tantrum.
He let out an incredulous laugh, eyes fixed on the road ahead. "Well, too bad for you, Miss Sasha. Pakhan is so busy right now, he couldn't come escort you himself. So you're stuck with me for the night. Any objections?"
"Of course I do! I want Dallius! And for the record, I'm still mad at you!" I yelled back, breathless from how loud I'd shouted, my scowl still firmly in place just from being near him.
