Chapter 2 - Ch-2 Meeting family

Life in the village of Ragna was peaceful and quiet. Small wooden houses stood beside green fields, and a clear river flowed near the village. People lived simple lives, farming, trading, and helping each other.

Inside one of those houses lived the Star family.

Sunstar, the young boy with blonde hair and blue eyes, had already realized something important.

This world had magic.

Even though he was only a small child, the memories from his past life still lived inside his mind. Because of that, he thought differently from other children.

If magic exists… I want to learn it.

One day, when his parents were outside working in the garden, Sun quietly started searching around the house.

The Star family's house was not very large, but there were many wooden shelves and boxes filled with old things. In one corner of the living room stood a tall shelf covered with dusty books.

Sun dragged a small stool across the floor and climbed onto it.

Most of the books were too heavy for him, but he slowly pulled one out.

Dust flew into the air as the book opened.

On the cover were strange symbols, but Sun could understand them.

"Basic Water Magic."

His eyes sparkled.

He sat on the floor and started reading carefully.

The book explained that magic came from mana, an invisible energy flowing through the body and the world. A magician had to gather mana, control it, and release it with the correct focus.

For the first few days, Sun could do nothing.

He closed his eyes and tried to feel the mana like the book described.

But there was only silence.

Still, he did not give up.

Every day he practiced secretly.

Sometimes he sat in the garden, sometimes in his room. He tried again and again to feel the energy inside his body.

Days turned into weeks.

Then one evening, something finally changed.

While sitting quietly with his eyes closed, Sun suddenly felt something warm moving inside him. It felt like a gentle stream flowing through his body.

His eyes opened in surprise.

This must be mana.

Excited, he followed the instructions in the book.

He stretched out his small hand and focused deeply.

"Water…"

At first, nothing happened.

But slowly… a tiny drop of water appeared above his palm.

Sun stared at it with wide eyes.

"I did it…"

But the water drop quickly disappeared.

Even though it lasted only a moment, Sun felt extremely happy. From that day, he practiced even harder.

Sometimes the magic worked.

Sometimes it failed.

Sometimes he became so tired that he fell asleep on the floor.

But slowly, his control improved.

Two years passed like this.

When Sunstar turned four years old, he had finally learned how to gather a large amount of mana.

One afternoon, while practicing in his room, he decided to try a stronger spell from the book.

He stood in the center of the room and focused his mana carefully.

Water slowly began gathering in the air above his hands.

A small ball of water appeared.

Then it grew bigger.

And bigger.

Sun's eyes widened.

This is more than before…

But suddenly the water started spinning wildly.

Sun panicked.

"I–I can't stop it!"

The spinning water shot upward like a powerful stream.

BOOM!

The water blasted through the roof of the house.

Wood pieces and dust flew everywhere.

A loud crashing sound echoed through the house.

Outside in the garden, Redstar and Elinastar immediately heard the noise.

"What was that?!" Elina shouted.

They rushed inside the house and ran to Sun's room.

When they opened the door, they froze.

The roof had a large hole, sunlight pouring through it. Pieces of wood were scattered across the floor. In the center of the room stood little Sunstar, holding his hands in the air while water slowly dripped around him.

For a moment, nobody spoke.

Redstar looked shocked.

Then he suddenly started laughing loudly.

"Hahaha! Incredible!"

Elina covered her mouth in surprise.

"Sun… did you do this?"

Sun looked nervous.

"I… I was practicing magic…"

Instead of being angry, his parents looked extremely happy.

Redstar walked over and lifted him into the air.

"You learned magic by yourself at four years old?! That's amazing!"

Elina smiled proudly.

"Our son is a genius."

After that day, they made an important decision.

"If Sun is this talented," Redstar said, "he should become a great magician."

So they prepared for a long journey.

They traveled to the capital city of the country, Ferbia.

The capital was enormous compared to Ragna. Tall stone buildings filled the city, and the streets were crowded with merchants, knights, and travelers. Large magic towers stood high above the city.

At the center of the capital was the famous Royal Magic Academy.

Redstar and Elina brought Sun inside the academy to meet the dean.

The dean was an old man with white hair and long robes. He listened carefully while they explained how Sun had learned magic on his own.

He looked surprised.

"Four years old?" he repeated.

"Yes," Redstar said proudly.

The dean thought for a moment.

Then he shook his head gently.

"I am sorry. Our academy only accepts children who are at least ten years old."

Redstar looked disappointed.

"But he has talent."

"I believe that," the dean replied kindly. "However, rules cannot be changed."

With no other choice, the Star family began their journey back to Ragna.

While traveling, Redstar suddenly received a magical letter.

It came from someone unexpected.

His father.

The letter was from Deadstar, the head of the powerful Star family.

Years ago, Deadstar had kicked Redstar out of the family house because he had married Elinastar without permission.

But the letter said something surprising.

Come back home.

Redstar stayed silent for a long time after reading it.

Finally, he sighed.

"Let's go."

They traveled to the Star family's large mansion.

When Sun arrived, he saw a huge stone house surrounded by gardens and training grounds.

Many servants worked around the mansion.

Inside the house, he met several new family members.

First was Deadstar, an old man with sharp eyes and strong presence.

Then there was Redstar's older brother, Novastar.

Nova was calm and intelligent.

His wife was Alinastar, a kind woman with a gentle smile.

And finally…

There was their daughter.

A small girl with bright eyes and long hair.

Her name was Yuki.

She was the same age as Sun.

At first they stared at each other quietly.

Then Yuki smiled.

"Do you want to play?"

Sun nodded.

From that day on, they became close friends.

They ran around the gardens, played games, and sometimes argued like normal children.

One evening during dinner, Nova made a suggestion.

"If Sun already learned magic by himself," he said, "then both children should start proper training."

Redstar agreed.

Soon they hired a private magic teacher.

Her name was Crystia.

She was known as a B-Rank Magician, a very skilled magic user.

Crystia was tall and elegant, with silver hair and calm eyes. When she first saw Sun and Yuki, she smiled slightly.

"So you two are my students."

From that day, their training began.

Every morning they practiced controlling mana.

In the afternoon they learned spells.

Sometimes they failed and fell down.

Sometimes they argued about who was stronger.

But slowly, they improved.

Sun and Yuki spent their days learning magic, playing together, and sometimes even fighting during practice.

Their laughter often echoed through the large garden of the Star mansion.

Neither of them knew it yet.

But this was only the beginning of a much bigger journey.
