Chapter 10 - Chapter 10. Obtaining a Magic Tool

Chapter 10: Getting a Magic Tool.

Zhan Kong Head Instructor stumbled, almost falling, but the words he had spoken were like a pulled… Oh, in short, he couldn't go back on his word.

"Get out first, it's good that you're fine," Zhan Kong said.

Mo Fan was about to walk out when he suddenly felt a Shadow moving beside him.

The Shadow spiraled down around the black stone wall, appearing before Mo Fan. Immediately after, Mo Fan saw a woman with a well-proportioned figure slowly rise from the Shadow. The astonishing sight made Mo Fan lose himself for a moment.

He knew it was Shadow magic, but witnessing it firsthand was still stunning.

"Teacher Tang Yue…" Mo Fan clearly saw the woman's face. It was a very standard oval face, with willow-leaf eyebrows and foxy, charming eyes!

"You're okay??" Teacher Tang Yue's face broke into a joyful smile.

"Mm-hm, I'm fine."

Teacher Tang Yue's gaze shifted, and she quickly noticed the Youlang Beast pinned there like a specimen. She was momentarily unable to recover her senses.

"This… This is…" Teacher Tang Yue said in astonishment.

"You've raised a monstrous student. He killed the Youlang Beast," Chief Instructor Zhan Kongsaid.

Teacher Tang Yue's mouth dropped open in surprise, and she stared at Mo Fan.

It was very unexpected!

"Hehe, Teacher Tang Yue, don't look at me like that, I'll get shy," Mo Fan said with a smile.

Teacher Tang Yue gave Mo Fan a charming side-eye. Good heavens, she was just worried if this kid would die, and here he was teasing his teacher?

However, it was good that he was fine.

Outside the mountain pass, Zhang Xiaohou, Mu Bai, Xu Zhaoting, Zhou Min, He Yu, and others had all woken up.

The other students gradually recovered their senses, gathering like refugees near the spring pool, their bodies still trembling.

Before long, the Chief Instructor and Teacher Tang Yue had led Mo Fan out of the cave.

When everyone saw that Mo Fan was still alive, their faces showed expressions as if they had seen a ghost!

Zhang Xiaohou, however, came to Mo Fan's side with extreme joy and gave him a direct hug: "Fan Ge, it's great that you're alright!"

Although Zhang Xiaohou himself was covered in scrapes, he had seen Mo Fan flee into the cave and the Youlang Beast chase after him.

It was just that, at that time, he was already struggling to keep his eyes open.

"It's fine, it's fine. When that Youlang Beast was chasing me inside, I paralyzed it a few times with electricity," Mo Fan said.

Zhan Kong heard what Mo Fan said and felt that it could be explained.

However, Mo Fan didn't look like he was out of magic energy, did he?

How could a Novice Mage have such abundant magic energy??

Although he had many questions in his mind, Zhan Kong didn't dwell on them. It was still the same sentiment: no deaths meant it was a good thing.

"Hey, have you heard? That bounty was completed by a student. It seems that Bai Yang's Youlang Beast was directly killed by that student!"

"Don't talk nonsense. How strong the Youlang Beast is, we all know. If a student could complete it, I'd eat the bounty display screen raw," said a very burly captain of a Hunter Mages team.

"Then go eat it now," Pan Lijun glanced at the big man and said coldly.

"Go see for yourselves, the bounty has been completed!"

The veterans at the outpost looked up and indeed found that the bounty was in "Completed status," with "Tianlan Magic High School Second-Year Student - Mo Fan!" marked below it.

"Holy cow, holy cow, this young man, he's too bold!"

At once, all the veterans at the outpost were stunned!

The man who said he would eat the display screen looked even more terrible, and then he secretly slipped away.

Soon, this news had spread throughout the outpost.

Aside from Bo City's military mages, most of the people at the outpost were Hunter Mages who roamed the mountains, making a living by taking bounties and hunting demons. But with this news, these veterans at the outpost were all a bit ashamed, as they were the ones who had laughed the loudest at the students.

"What about that magic tool… a defensive magic tool?" the bald vendor quickly asked.

Clearly, this was a question many people were also concerned about.

"Chief Zhan Kong is having a headache right now. He didn't prepare a magic tool at all because everyone knew it was impossible for a student to complete it… Chief Zhan Kong is a man of his word, so he should be buying a defensive magic tool out of his own pocket to give to that student," Pan Lijun said.

"That student hit the jackpot! Chief Zhan Kong's heart must be bleeding!"

"Even those of us who live and die might not get a defensive magic tool… Sigh!"

"…"

Inside a stone house in Wei Fang.

Chief Instructor Zhan Kong held a box in his hand, his face full of pain.

"Damn it, these black-hearted merchants! They charged me 550,000 for a sickle bone shield, the bastards!!" Zhan Kong cursed loudly.

The few Guardian Mage instructors didn't speak, instead, they all looked like they were trying to suppress their laughter.

Normally, at this outpost, it was always their Chief Zhan Kong who made them miserable, who knew that Chief Zhan Kong also had times when he stumbled.

sickle bone shield, this thing was truly not cheap. Chief Zhan Kong didn't know how much of his salary he had to spend. This reward was something he promised himself; the city hall wouldn't reimburse it.

"Go call that kid here, hmph!" Zhan Kong said unhappily.

"Big Brother, I've been here the whole time," Mo Fan raised a hand, speaking to the somewhat muddled Chief Instructor Zhan Kong.

Zhan Kong was still a bit annoyed when he saw Mo Fan, and he still couldn't understand how he had killed the Youlang Beast!

"Take it, take it," Zhan Kong handed the sickle bone shield to Mo Fan.

"Chief Instructor, can you let go?" Mo Fan said.

Zhan Kong's mouth twitched, and he finally let go.

Mo Fan thought to himself: You're a High-Level Mage, after all. For something worth hundreds of thousands, you're still acting so pained, is that appropriate?

However, no matter what, he had obtained a life-saving piece of equipment. At least, when facing a servant-level demon, he wouldn't be completely defenseless.

After Chief Instructor Zhan Kong gave Mo Fan the magic tool, he immediately asked, "Kid, do you want to join our Wei Fang?"

Just from Mo Fan being able to kill a One-Eyed Magic Wolf at this age, it was worth Zhan Kongpersonally inviting him.

It could be said that with this courage alone, Mo Fan's future would surely be extraordinary.

"Chief Instructor, I appreciate your offer, but I'm not interested in staying in the wilderness year-round," Mo Fan said with a smile.

"#!"

A vein popped out on Zhan Kong's forehead!

This kid, he's a bit ungrateful!

A dignified invitation from a Wei Fang commander, and this kid doesn't take the hint?

"Get out, get out!" Zhan Kong said impatiently, shooing him away.

Mo Fan shrugged, not caring, and after getting the magic tool, he left directly.
