Chapter 2 - ⭐Chapter 2: Rediscovering Identity

1. Without a job title attached to his name, Ethan felt strangely exposed. For years, introductions had been easy: he described his position and company, and people nodded with approval. Now, when someone asked what he did, he hesitated. That hesitation forced him to confront a deeper question: Who was he beyond employment?

2. He began reflecting on childhood memories, searching for clues about passions he had ignored. He remembered building small wooden furniture with his grandfather during summer breaks. The satisfaction of creating something tangible had once filled him with joy. Somewhere between promotions and deadlines, he had abandoned that creative spark.

3. One afternoon, he visited his grandfather's old workshop, now dusty and unused. The smell of wood and oil brought back forgotten confidence. He picked up tools awkwardly at first, but muscle memory slowly returned. With each measured cut and careful adjustment, he felt a sense of control that corporate meetings never provided.

4. Ethan decided to build a simple wooden bench for his mother's garden. The project was imperfect, yet deeply satisfying. When she smiled at the finished piece, he felt pride unrelated to salary or status. It reminded him that value could be created in countless ways, not only through office work.

5. Encouraged, he shared photos of the bench online. Friends responded enthusiastically, some even asking if he could build similar pieces for them. What began as therapy turned into possibility. For the first time since losing his job, excitement replaced anxiety.

6. Ethan realized that losing his job had stripped away an identity that was never fully his. Beneath the corporate layer existed a creator, a problem-solver, and a craftsman. Rediscovering that truth reignited belief in himself. He began to understand that setbacks often reveal hidden strengths waiting for attention.
