Chapter 2 - PROLOGUE

The cult did not merely rule-

it consumed.

Hidden in a forsaken land where sunlight rarely touched the earth, a single man reigned as an unholy sovereign. They called him "the King," but the title was a mockery. He was a butcher of souls, a master of torment, a creature who fed on obedience like a parasite feeds on blood. His followers did not speak unless commanded; their silence was carved into them through fear, punishment, and the slow erosion of hope.

His home was not a house-

it was a graveyard for the living.

His wife, once pregnant with a fragile life, became another corpse swallowed by his darkness. Her death was written off as misfortune, but everyone knew the truth: nothing lived long beside a devil.

And yet there was another shadow in the world-

a man whose empire stretched across crime and government alike, a serpent coiled around every system of power. If the King was a demon, this man was the abyss itself. Monsters recognize their own, and the two crossed paths like predators circling the same carcass.

From their horrors came a daughter.

Her mother, long dead, left behind no warmth-only secrets. Years later, the King found another woman: a young girl of 23, trembling, pregnant, carrying both life and terror in her eyes. He saved her, though no one could say whether it was mercy or obsession. They loved each other in the brief quiet between storms.

But the cult does not release its prey.

She died screaming into the night, bloodied and broken, while giving birth to a blue-eyed girl . Her last breath was not a plea, but a promise forged from rage:

"My daughter will burn this cult to the ground."

Before death claimed her, she wrote everything-

every ritual, every sin, every whispered curse-

a book soaked in truth sharp enough to kill.

Now the daughter stands at the edge of a world built to destroy her. She must walk through the ashes of her mother's suffering, face a stepfather who loathes the sight of her, and confront the King-

the monster who believes her destiny belongs to him.

The question is not whether she will bring down the cult.

The question is whether she can survive long enough to deliver its final death blow...

or whether the darkness that created her will claim her as its next offering.
