The Water Realm was ruled by the Holy Bloodline of the Water Goddess Benten. The head of that sacred lineage was known as the Water Lord — the supreme ruler of all oceans.

Izumi was born into the noble race of Water Demons.
His father was the current King of the Water Demon Realm.
From the moment he could walk, Izumi was trained in combat, strategy, and magic. He was expected to grow into a fearsome ruler.

But something inside him was different.
One evening, Izumi stood alone at the edge of the abyssal sea, watching the currents swirl endlessly.

His reflection stared back at him from the dark water.
"Why must demons and humans fight? Why must dragons burn forests? Why must we live only to conquer?"
A guard standing behind him stiffened.
"My prince, such thoughts are dangerous."

"If power is what this world respects… then I will gain power."

"I will become the strongest being in this world."
