Sitting down at her desk Blaze proceeded to get out her books and froze for a moment realising that neither of the people she had inherited the souls of was good at Japanese and that the girl only knew a bit of Japanese due to being an anime fan
"What are you worrying about" asked Herm, confused by Blaze's feelings
"I have no idea about how to read japanese" she replied
"Your an idiot aren't you"
"What the hell was that for" Blaze retorted
"You've been speaking japanese this whole time, tell me why I'm calling you an idiot now" Herm sighed
"Huh?"
Realsing what Herm was saying Blaze looked at her books and realised that she could perfectly read everything that was on the pages
"If angels and demons can have what is essentially an in built translator what makes you think that a goddess can't do the same thing" Herm says haughtily
"Another benefit of having a horny goddess sacred gear" Blaze complained as she focused on the teacher
After class was finished Blaze decided to walk around the academy to explore what wasn't shown in the anime, eventually stumbling across a gym that was part of the school, and one other thing, the schools mascot Koneko
"Hi there, I'm Blaze, mind if I join you" she says moving over the the weight lifting machines next to where Koneko was lifting some weights
"Koneko... you don't need to ask to use the gym" she says not being affected by Blaze's prescence
"Noted" Blaze replied understanding from both the anime and from what she was feeling at the moment that Koneko wasn't one for casual talk
Taking her place on the machine weights Blaze set it to a decent weight limit before starting to lift
It didn't take long for Blaze to realise that the weight she was currently lifting wasn't enough to cause her any strain so she increased the weights, adding multiple kg each time until the machine reached it's limi at which point Blaze wanted to see just how far she could push it, which she quickly found out was a bad idea
CRACK!
The handles snapped off like twigs in her hands causing the weights to slam down onto the floor, causing the whole gym floor to vibrate
Realizing what she had just done Blaze turned to see that Koneko was watching her with interest "I guess they don't make them like they used to" she said with a guilty smile
"The machines work just fine, so long as the one who uses them isn't to strong" says a voice from the entrance of the gym
"Rias Buchou" said Koneko
"I came here to pick you up Koneko, but I didn't expect to see the new transfer student in here, she seems just as impressive as the rumours" Rias said looking at the broken handles in Blaze's hands "if not more so"
"I hope the rumours aren't anything bad" replied Blaze, hiding the handles behind her back while blushing guiltily
"No, they mostly praise you for your strength and beauty, something that seems to be true" Rias said as she walked over to get a better look at the machine "especially the strength part, the limits of this machine is around 100kg and not only did you lift it with ease you surpassed it enough to break the handles clean off" she said obviously impressed
"What can I say, I make sure to stay in good shape" Blaze said backing off slowly
"Better than good I would say" Rias says with an impressed voice, seemingly thinking about something
"Well I've got places to be so I guess I'll see you around" Blaze told her, quickly moving for the door and escaping while throwing the broken handles into the bin, as she didn't know what would happen if she interacted with Rias at this stage where she wasn't confident in her abilities, or the abilitiy to control them
Rias walked over to the bin and picked one of the handles out and looking at it, the grip crushed by a strong palm
"Buchou?" asked Koneko, intruiged by Rias's interest
"Do you think you could do what she did?" Rias asked, handing her the handle
Looking at the damage done to the handle Koneko went into thought before replying "possibly if I used my full strength, but Buchou, she was human"
"It looks like someone interesting has come to our school then" Rias smiled, placing the handle in her pocket "and I think that we should keep an eye on her"
Koneko nodded in agreement as they both headed to the old school building to start their occult research club activities.
