Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Benjamin read the message in panic mode. He had recovered the full memory of the body now, and so the information on Earth had been downloaded into his brain.

For a place that was 70 percent water, water had to be his weak point.

That means something didn't wants him to be here.

Benjamin had a flashback on how he landed on Earth. He landed on ice, and then his ship crashed straight into water; that was why he became inactive.

He actually died!

"Run a full health analysis on my heart."

[Your core had been damaged due to prolonged absorption of water.

You became inactive; however, due to the little bit of energy some hours back, I was able to be reboot again, and I worked on your core immediately, but I could only do as little as to revive you back.

Your core is under restoration, and it will take a hundred days for it to be back at maximum potential again. That being said, your powers are currently limited to the percentage of your core that has been restored]

[Restoration Percentage: 1%]

Benjamin forehead folded completely when he got to the restoration message.

According to the math, every day he would be recovering just one percent of his core full potential. That was diabolical, given how much time he had been inactive already.

Benjamin went through his system data, and he saw he went inactive ten years ago.

Ten years!

The invasion was already at the corner now. The people that destroyed his planet would be close to Earth now.

He had wasted a lot of time already.

Just as Benjamin was lost in thought, a knock came on his door.

Benjamin slowly turned to face the doorway, and the knock came again.

"Open up, it's me, Elizabeth. Are you alright over there, Benjamin."

Benjamin was silent for a while. He wondered if Elizabeth had seen when his hands became green because she was the closest to him, but he doubted that. He was quick to hide it and she wasn't alarmed of any sort

"I am fine. I just need rest. I think I shouldn't have volunteered on getting rid of the alien. My stomach hurts from looking at it and thinking about it."

Benjamin said without moving a single muscle from his spot.

"I am thinking about it too, and being in isolation won't help you overcome it.

Mr. Thiago says I should check on you, so I can't leave until I see your face."

Benjamin's forehead folded a little. Mr. Thiago was the head of the doctors who were called. He had no choice but to open the door, but it was clear now that Elizabeth didn't see anything.

Benjamin opened the door, and Elizabeth looked him in the face.

"So this is your room."

Elizabeth said as she sneaked past Benjamin's hands. Benjamin's facial expression changed immediately, but he kept calm when he saw a camera was right at the top of the wall in front of his room.

He looked around and saw there were cameras facing each room in the premises.

They were watching all of them. It made him realize how foolish the previous Benjamin was. By sneaking a phone inside, he would've been caught at the end of the day, but that had been passed down as his responsibility now.

The phone was currently in his pocket as well, and he had to make sure he doesn't get caught on that aspect as well.

He would've thrown the phone on the flame container, but he didn't think that far then.

Benjamin turned to face Elizabeth who was still looking around his room.

"You have a nice room here"

Elizabeth said as she turned to face Benjamin.

"I didn't know you could customize your bedroom however you want. It seems you were not thinking of leaving here anytime soon."

Benjamin looked around without responding to Elizabeth.

"You can tell the receptionist downstairs what you want, and they will get it for you."

He said as he walked past Elizabeth and sat on his bed, which was behind Elizabeth.

"About staying here for long. I don't think I want to anymore. I just want to leave as soon as possible."

He said as he looked Elizabeth in the eyes. Elizabeth's eyebrows moved a little at that moment. She was silent for a while before she finally voiced out.

"I bet you truly want to leave."

She said as she revealed a sachet of water that was already opened and launched the water at Benjamin's face.
