Chapter 19 - Chapter 8: The Investigation Squad

The Nova-1 common room was unusually busy. Students wandered between tables, practicing quirks, or talking quietly. But at our corner, a small group had assembled, focused and buzzing with energy.

"Alright," Taiyashè said, grinning, "team meeting. Renny-Penny's sticky-note mystery won't solve itself."

I rolled my eyes but scribbled the latest notes on the board: suspected girls, Toga's info, and the knife on the roof.

Kirishima leaned back, flexing casually. "So… we've got brains, brawn, spark, and… Renny-Penny's powers."

Denki waved a hand, crackling faint sparks. "And me! Obviously, electric flair. Can help with tracking or, you know, fun distractions."

Izuku adjusted his notebook, giving a small nod. "We need to plan carefully. Whoever is leaving the notes… they're observant. Smart. We need strategy."

Before I could answer, the door swung open.

"Mind if I join?" came a bubbly voice. Pink hair, bright eyes, and an aura of enthusiasm filled the room.

"Ashido Mina!" Taiyashè announced. "Energy galore. Perfect for morale… and distractions."

Mina grinned, bouncing slightly. "Heard there's a mystery! Count me in! I can help keep things fun!"

I scribbled quickly. "The more… the merrier. But be careful. This is serious."

Before anyone could reply, a familiar voice cut sharply through the chatter.

"Kacchan's joining, too."

The group turned as Bakugou Katsuki stomped in, arms crossed, frown plastered on his face. Sparks danced faintly from his hands.

"Bakugou," Taiyashè said, slightly wary. "You're here for the… mystery thing?"

Bakugou scowled. "I don't care about your stupid notes. But if someone's sneaking around and leaving crap on dorm windows… I'm not letting it slide. Got it?"

I nodded slowly, glancing at the board again. My hand itched, not from fire but from the faint pulse of my Sovereign Pulse, humming quietly — almost like a warning. Someone was close. Observing. Testing.

"Okay," I said, drawing a circle around the names and files. "Here's the plan. Everyone contributes what they know, what quirks could help, and what to watch for. Taiyashè, you handle surveillance. Kirishima and Bakugou, you handle protection if anything goes south. Denki and Mina, distractions and alerts. Izuku… help with analysis and strategy."

Everyone nodded, murmuring their agreement.

Mina bounced, clearly excited. "This is gonna be so fun! Sticky notes beware!"

Bakugou scowled. "It's serious. Don't mess it up."

I gave a small smile. "The plan is simple. Observe, record, and figure out who's behind the notes. Quietly. Carefully. And stay alert. Whoever's doing this… they're clever."

Taiyashè grinned. "Renny-Penny, we've officially got an investigation squad. Astra's mystery-solving dream team."

I sighed, but the faint thrill of strategy mixed with the hum of my powers made my chest tighten.

Somewhere nearby… outside, on the rooftops or in the shadows… the observer — most likely Toga — was still watching. Testing. Waiting.

And now, we were ready.
