Third-person POV
The next morning, Rathanak and Lorenzo woke up on hospital beds, confused by what had happened last night. Their backpacks, covered in dried mud, were on a coffee table. In front of them were Rathanak's twin younger sisters, Mai and Rai, and Lorenzo's parents, who were a Japanese-Spanish couple who had arrived from Osaka City this morning.
"Big brother!" Mai said to Rathanak with worry and relief on her face.
"Hijo!" Lorenzo's father, who can speak in Spanish thanks to his Spanish wife, cried to Lorenzo while checking his body for any injuries.
But neither he nor the Murakami twins found any injuries on them.
The doctor who had been in the ward the whole time approached the two young men and asked if they were okay. "Huh?" Rathanak looked at the man in white.
"Yes, we are," Lorenzo replied instead.
"Wait, you two sustained injuries on your bodies," the doctor responded while being unbelievable by his claims. "Based on the blood on your clothes, these couldn't have killed both of you."
"Um…" Rathanak replied while not wanting to bring the secret to his survival.
He changed the topic and said, "Also, how did we end up here?"
Rai then responded. "Someone found you two floating on the river and called the ambulance."
"Oh…" both Rathanak and Lorenzo responded at the same time.
"You two are in pain now, right?" the doctor asked.
"No, I don't, now," Lorenzo replied.
"Neither do I," Rathanak added.
"Huh? Strange…" the doctor was puzzled but buys it because of the fact that they are now okay, planning to discharge them later this morning.
They were eventually discharged later and said thank you to the people who saved them by calling the ambulance. These people was a mother and her child. The mother and her child were grateful and said that they were just doing the right thing. Now both of them had a day off from class, and everyone in their class felt bad for them and gave their sympathies to them.
But the next day after that, Rathanak and Lorenzo began to feel bad for Sora and his gang. Lorenzo was also quite puzzled and confused by how they would drink their blood, which were different from any human, who would drink it differently by volume, feeling, and intention. In his view, they did that with thirst based on what he had heard when being unconscious. Rathanak had the same thought and agreed with him. Also, Lorenzo was confused by he had managed to survive being tortured in a similar way Rathanak did and must have his Invisible Force.
And so, after class, they began to spy on Sora and the Black Feathers secretly on wherever they go. They mostly went in pair and sometimes split up to follow their tracks. One time, Sora came out with a hanger of a suit that had been drycleaned, indicating that he had it drycleaned recently. As Sora went into his private, personal car with his escorts, Lorenzo said to Rathanak on his phone, "Amigo, he just left off with a drycleaned suit."
Rathanak, who was in a park, then replied, "Ah, okay, what color of it?"
"Black."
"Ah, okay."
Both continued their spying because they felt bad for them. But this would not last long…
