Chapter 70 - Chapter 70 Mothers Ambush

Maya's POV

The Castorian sunlight filtered through my closed eyelids, warming my skin against the cool morning air. I wanted to stay in this perfect bubble forever, wrapped in Sebastian's arms with nothing but peace surrounding us.

But something shattered that tranquility. Voices. Multiple voices chattering in rapid Valentian, far too close for comfort.

My eyes snapped open, and horror washed over me like ice water. We were still lying naked in the middle of the vineyard, completely exposed to the world. Sebastian stirred beside me, and I could tell by his sudden alertness that he was already awake.

He had draped his torn shirt across my body, but it barely covered anything important.

"Good morning," he said with maddening composure, as if being caught naked by his employees was perfectly normal.

"Sebastian!" I whispered frantically, clutching the shirt against my chest. "People are everywhere!"
