Maya's POV
Julian's suggestive words hung between us like a poisonous cloud. My pulse quickened against my will, body betraying me with unwanted memories of what we once shared.
I opened my mouth to respond when an icy voice sliced through the tension.
"Should I come back later?"
Sebastian emerged from the stairwell, his penetrating stare fixed on us both. The warmth that usually filled his eyes when he looked at me had vanished, replaced by something cold and unforgiving. His entire frame radiated controlled fury.
Julian stepped backward with an infuriating grin, completely unbothered by the interruption.
"Just catching up with your lovely fiancée," he drawled with deliberate nonchalance. "Maya and I share quite a bit of... history."
Sebastian moved toward us with predatory grace, positioning himself beside me. His arm encircled my waist with unmistakable possession, fingers pressing into the delicate silk of my gown.
