Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:The Forbidden Child.

The metal body of the car was twisted and broken. The front glass had shattered into pieces scattered across the ice.

It had clearly been an accident.

Chorten slowed as she walked closer.

Inside the front seats were two bodies.

A man.

And a woman.

Their faces were pale. Their bodies were completely still.

They were dead.

For a moment, the forest was completely quiet except for the soft sound of snow falling.

Then the crying came again.

Chorten walked to the back door of the car and slowly opened it.

Inside, wrapped in blankets, was a tiny human baby.

Alive.

The baby's face was red from crying, and its small hands were shaking in the freezing air.

Chorten carefully lifted the baby into her arms.

The moment the child looked at her pale face and glowing red eyes…

The crying slowly stopped.

For a long moment, Chorten stood there in the falling snow, holding the fragile human life close to her chest.

The cold wind moved through the trees around her.

She knew the laws.

Humans were not allowed inside the vampire kingdom.

The borders created by the Vampire King could never be broken.

But leaving the baby here meant only one thing.

The freezing mountain night would take the child's life before morning.

Chorten looked down at the small face in her arms.

Her expression softened.

And in that quiet moment, she made a choice.

A choice that would break the laws of the vampire kingdom.

The night wind howled across the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh as Chorten Pema raced through the snow with the baby held carefully against her chest.

The child was wrapped tightly in blankets, protected from the freezing wind by her cloak. Despite the cold and the speed at which she moved, the baby slept quietly in her arms, unaware of the strange world it had just entered.

Soon, the towering walls of the Vampire Castle appeared through the swirling snow.

Dark towers rose against the night sky like silent guardians of the mountains.

Chorten crossed the ancient gates.

The guards at the entrance froze in shock.

A human child… inside the vampire kingdom.

No one had seen such a thing in centuries.

Word spread through the castle almost instantly.

Within moments, a soldier hurried through the cold stone corridors and entered the royal throne hall.

The vast chamber was lit by hundreds of flickering candles. Tall pillars of black stone stretched toward the shadowed ceiling, and at the far end of the hall, seated upon his dark throne, was the Vampire King.

His crimson eyes lifted slowly as the soldier approached.

The soldier dropped to one knee and bowed his head.

"My lord," the soldier said carefully, his voice echoing through the silent hall.

"Your daughter, Princess Chorten Pema, requests an audience with you."

The king remained silent.

Then the soldier continued.

"She… has brought a human child into the castle."

For a moment, the entire hall seemed to freeze.

The king's red eyes darkened.

A cold anger spread across his face.

"A human… child?" he repeated slowly.

The air inside the throne room grew heavy.

"Send her in," the Vampire King commanded, his voice sharp with controlled fury.

"And bring the child."

Moments later, the large doors of the throne hall slowly opened.

Princess Chorten Pema stepped inside.

She walked calmly across the long black floor of the chamber, holding the small baby in her arms. Two vampire soldiers followed closely behind her.

The moment the king saw the child…

His anger grew even stronger.

Not only had his daughter broken one sacred rule of the vampire kingdom—

She had broken two.

The first law:

No vampire was allowed to enter human lands.

The second law:

No human was ever allowed to cross the borders into vampire territory.

And now, standing in the center of his throne hall…

His own daughter held a human baby in her arms.

The king slowly rose from his throne.

His long black robes moved like shadows across the stone floor as his crimson eyes locked onto Chorten.

The entire throne hall fell into complete silence.

The ancient ruler of the vampire kingdom stared at his daughter, his anger burning like fire in the darkness.

Before Chorten Pema could say a single word, the Vampire King raised his hand.

His voice cut through the hall like a sharp blade.

"Seize the baby… and end its life."

The command echoed across the dark chamber.

At once, the soldiers moved.

One vampire soldier stepped forward and roughly took the baby from Chorten's arms. Another soldier grabbed Chorten from behind, holding her tightly so she could not move.

The sudden emptiness in her arms made her heart sink.

"Please!" Chorten cried, struggling against the soldier.

"Father… please don't hurt the baby! I beg you!"

Her red eyes were full of fear and desperation.

But the king's face remained cold and emotionless.

"You have broken two of the most important laws of our kingdom," he said firmly.

His voice carried both anger and disappointment.

"You entered human lands… and you brought a human into our castle."

His crimson eyes burned as he looked at her.

"You must be punished. From this moment on, you will not leave your room. You will remain confined there until I decide otherwise."

At the same time, the baby began crying loudly in the soldier's arms, frightened by the strange faces and the cold room.

The crying filled the throne hall.

The king slowly stepped forward.

He approached the child and took the baby into his own arms.

The tiny human looked very small in the hands of the ancient ruler.

The baby kept crying.

The king looked down at the child quietly for a moment.

Then he spoke in a calm, low voice.

"You do not belong here, little one."

The hall was silent.

Then suddenly—

The Vampire King lowered his head and bit the baby.

The crying stopped.

A chilling silence spread across the room.

After a moment, the king lifted his head and calmly handed the baby back to Chorten.

"Now," he said coldly,

"you may keep the child."

Chorten quickly held the baby tightly against her chest.

For a moment, she could barely breathe.

Then her sorrow burst out.

She began to cry.

But vampires did not cry normal tears.

Dark red blood tears ran down her pale cheeks.

Everyone in the throne hall watched in silence.

Then suddenly—

She felt something.

A small movement.

The baby's tiny fingers moved against her hand.

Chorten froze.

Slowly, she pulled the blanket away and looked down.

Her eyes widened in shock.

The baby was alive.

The child's small body moved gently, and a soft smile appeared on its face.

But something had changed.

The baby's skin had become cold—cold like death.

And the child's eyes…

Which had once been brown…

Were now glowing red.

The entire throne hall seemed to stop breathing.

The baby was no longer human.

The Vampire King had changed the child into something new.

Something that had never existed before.

A child born as a human…

Now reborn with the blood of vampires.
